Burney Falls is beautiful. I remember pictures that my daughter took in 2019. She hiked about 1500 miles in 2019. She skipped the Sierra because of the high snow. And then Washington was so rainy and cold. She started at Campo this year (2021) and is on trail now. Hoping to make it from Mexican border to Canadian border this year, 25.3 miles is a great mileage day for you.. Wow 1500 mile marker. I have an afghan with Psalm 118:24 it is a daily reminder of that joy. This section is so pretty too. Thanks for sharing your videos. Blessings

I agree, it’s the people magic! The scenery is inspiring but the people are the real beauty!

Sandra Carter I have met so many interesting people on Trail and in Trail towns. Everybody has an interesting story to tell about their life.

As I watch this video I’m reminded of the hardest part of hiking the PCT! Getting up off the ground climbing out of the tent 🏕 each morning. At 68 years old I notice it more and more.

At times as I sit in my hiking armchair theater ... it’s always been the people I still remember along the ribbon of rocks, dust, mud n all I remember most.

One note of appreciation on your videos, you blend your narrative very well with the music, thank you! With yours I don’t have to constantly adjust the volume, I get to sit back and enjoy 😊

Sandra Carter Sandra, I like to add pleasant music to my videos but not make it so overwhelming that it drowns out the noises of nature.

Love your videos, Pastor! And of course the mention of scripture is key. I love singing scripture when I'm hiking. Question: do you have a bear can in your pack? It looks so small!

I only carried a bear can from Kennedy Meadows to Echo Lake.

Another great video. And yes, the "psycho deer" you reference--I've seen a great many videos of that section, and every video mentions them. I think they're after SALT! Nice thoughts, too. Nice to meet Poptart in your video. Ambitious of him!

Rev, when hitchhiking were you ever worried you wouldn’t get a ride into a trail town?
@TheHikingRev
@TheHikingRev 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. There were a few places where there was not a lot of traffic going into a trail town. You just have to look desperate and be patient.😂
