*As someone who has done MDMA, this is not surprising to me at all. MDMA (also known as “Molly” or “Ecstasy”) is a deeply spiritual drug which has PROFOUND impact on anyone. I also dare say that if MDMA were suddenly wide spread among all cultures around the world (including especially among leaders), it would have a DRAMATIC impact on solving a whole lot of the world’s problems, very quickly.*
@threeofeight1972 жыл бұрын
idk if our leaders could handle that kind of look into their own minds. They should do it tho.

I personally did MDMA a couple weeks ago at a music fest in DC and it revitalized my life and motivated me to get focused again professionally and as a parent and a husband. Not to say I am not a good father, husband or a hard worker (I've worked full time since I was 18), but it made me think harder how some of my reactions/impatience to my kids could be improved and how much better I could be doing as a provider. But like Ryan said it brings out so much more empathy for everything and really makes you think about things you may not on a normal day. That being said, it's not something i'd do on a regular basis, but certainly can have benefits if not abused.

From my perspective as a veteran and a person who has been on various medications for over the last decade, it is hearing the stories of how effective MDMA and psilocybin have been for people. How many people have ever said "Oh I took this antidepressant for a few months and it changed my life forever!" Maybe in a commercial you would hear that from a paid actor followed by a list of side effects, whereas the people telling me of their experiences in these trials are not paid actors. While currently available therapeutic drugs can nullify/reduce certain feelings (I recall my first time on such things, was interesting that I could not think anything negative for the first few days), symptom management is not the same as symptom resolution. Resolution in some areas it what it sounds like these trials have given to many participants, so I have been following it for several years now with interest.

The reason why the US military's research on PTSD prevention in soldiers at risk (using a stat dose of MDA within 48 hours of exposure) remains under embargo while their servicemen keep developing PTSD is a travesty. The best treatment for PTSD is to prevent it? The opportunity is sadly lost on the millions of Ukraine civilians fleeing for their lives and those who stayed to defend their country, only to see it razed to the ground. The cost of war is not accounted in the human suffering and adversity that will plague us all for decades to come.

@@jmlubecky Hmm, I tried looking up the trial but couldn't find out. B12 doesn't sound right; any new treatment is usually compared with the current gold standard. Thank you anyway. So I flew back to the states to GET my dog and bring him back to Europe with me for the summer. This guy is NO ONE I'd take any advice from. I never put a loaded gun to my head or slit my wrists.
