True story of snickers bars and my father and I: I was 6 years old. My mom gave me 10 cents a week for doing my chores. I usually would ride my bike to the local gas store, to get 10 pieces of penny candy. But Christmas was coming, and I still really love my daddy, like I did at 6 years old. I asked my father what his favorite candy bar was. He said, "snickers!" And I rode my bike to the store. I asked the lady at the register how much the jumbo snickers was. She said, "60 cents!" So I was on a mission. 6 weeks, no penny candy. Dad needed his Christmas gift. 🎄 on Christmas day, my dad was so surprised that I gave up my weekly candy for 6 weeks to give him a snickers bar. He was so happy. Ever since then, he knows that every Christmas, birthday, or any holiday, he's getting a bag of snickers mini bars from me. I love that old man. He is my hero.

I just had to tell you what a blessing your channel brings to my life. I have six children and it is so nice to have new ideas in the kitchen! You love Jesus and I too love Him. The sound of your voice soothes my anxiety ridden soul. You lift up the name of Jesus and that gives me strength and you leave me with scriptures that I forgot existed. You are a blessing to so many and you really are doing a beautiful work for the kingdom of God! Thank you, thank you so much.

Hey sweet lady... I don't know how any people tell you what a true blessing you are to them, but you certainly are to me! I have been thinking so much about my Mama lately and this recipe just nailed me to the floor. *There were several children in my family and I was a tiny one... we made this recipe in the 70's for me, but prior to that my older siblings made them at least back to the early 50's. We used ground oats with Graham crackers for my Era in the 70's and my brothers and 1 of the older sisters used old stale cookies that got thrown in a bag and placed in a deep freezer u til it was time to make candy which was 4X a year in our large family 12- thennn powdered sugar - and then the creamy peanut butter for the center with a couple of crunched up peanuts. (You can omit the extra crunchy peanuts and use puffed rice like the ol' crunch bars, too if you like). That is the actual base of this recipe. Now check this out, you roll that mixture into small ball or eggs, OR flatten it out and cut out flat eggs or circles, hearts, Christmas trees, etc... and refrigerate. Meanwhile, you get a chocolate topping prepared on the stove top or a fondue pots are what we used as kids, and we rolled our refrigerated peanut butter designs stuck with cocktail sticks, in that and lay it on non stick paper that is fastened to a cookie sheet, (brown grocery sacks or wax paper in those days), return to the fridge and let set up. My Grandma had a deep freezer so when we did this will all of the cousins, she would put the trays in the deep freezer for a short period of time. People were always mimicking the famous candy bars back then... I wish someone would come out with a homemade Bit-o-Honey. 😇🥰 * Anyways, this is great... you took me back to a healing place today and I just love you rather today you did this for me or any other day when you show us recipes that I thought were gone forever. I AM so personally blessed and so grateful for you! (We have more in common than you'll ever know)... You truly hold a value and you're so respected for doing this channel. May God bless and keep you in his loving grasp always dear sister. ❤ 😇

I just wanted to tell you, I watch you cooking, but what drawls me in is your sweet compassion as you ever so gently talk. Listening to you express just how important the Lord is to you, warms my soul! The way you describe your family is so precious, I never had family growing up and from listening to you, I realize just how much love and joy I missed out on in life. So when I need to soften my exterior as I am around social gatherings, I know I can just imagine I am listening to you and your compassionate gently voice and I find myself begin to soften. I know people always get so excited to go to a concert to see their favorite bands and try as hard as they can to meet them backstage!! That’s exactly how I would act if I knew you were coming to my town or I was driving to actually meet you in real life! I pray that the Lord keeps blessing you and your family because you are a blessing to my life!

Looks very very yummy gonna check this out thank you.. I'll give you a little tip since it has to stay cold, if you have a baking dish that your other baking dish you put the bars in could set down inside of that dish take and put water in fill half way then place in freezer to freeze to make ice then when it's time to take to where ever to the table you place your baking dish with the bars down on top of the ice baking dish will keep cold for an hour.. even works for tator salad , macaroni salad, well anything that needs to stay cold for a BBQ or at the lake just set ice in a bowl or make a ice bowl then place the other bowl on top.. hope this helps anyone out there to keep your food cold at party's..
