This. Was. FASCINATING! I first heard of this book over at Justin at Ghost Reader's channel. Then I watched your review. Now this! Let's see when I can get a chance to read it.

This was fascinating and really fun to watch. I recently bought Eleanor Roosevelt's trilogy autobiography by Blanche Wiesen Cook, and I'm really interested in seeing how Cook covers her relationship with Bethune.

Yes, I was thinking of getting Cook's books just to read about their friendship further!

Sorry Peg, I am very behind in commenting on videos. I watch them on my phone while doing the dishes and I don't comment until I get on my computer ... by that time I forget to go back and comment! Old age?? Who knows? Anyway, great interview with the author. This is another book that I am going to be on the lookout for. Very engaging dialogue. I hope you do a lot more of these videos, I really enjoy listening to the author's thoughts. It is great to hear their perspective on the different historical characters that they write about. You have given me an idea of another person to center a lesson around in class (Mary Bethune)! I hope you have a great weekend! Happy Reading!!!

Oh gosh, Bill, please don't apologize! I should apologize, I'm SO behind on watching BookTube videos!! I have a bunch of yours I need to catch up on, too! I'm really happy you enjoyed the interview with Jill Watts. I think this book would be a great resource to teach to your class. It's really such an unknown part of our history, which is a shame.

@@TheHistoryShelf Peg it is on my watch list. It is definitely something I am going to share with our high school teacher. He teaches a couple of classes that this would go very well with. Thanks again.
