Being that this is Minnesota's only visit into Pittsburgh this season, and that Marc-Andre Fleury is retiring after this season, this was yet another class A move by a great human being. I hope Fleury starts tomorrow evening, wins the game, and has an awesome retirement.

Even with how badly we need a win I hope Fleury wins as well. Itll be even sweeter if it goes 3-3 to SO and all the big 3 Pens players score but get blanked in the shootout.

Pittsburgh loves Fleury. Always have, always will. Would have been more than happy to have ever had him sign back here. The fans didn't make the choice to send him to Vegas.

Why do you make up things on the internet? What is the blog and why would Fleury care? Why hasn't Fleury ever showed up at Shannon's house to sign some free merch and hang out? THG has more followers than yer dads blog.

New Tampa owner is just picking up where Vinik left off. Mr. Vinik has done so much for Tampa, there’s no way you will ever convince me he’s not the best owner in all of professional sports. He started this on day one and has given and given since while sparing no expense on the team. He also knows when to step back and let the professionals do their work never outwardly stepping on the toes of his GMs or coach.

@bostonwarrior48244 сағат бұрын
Yeah and every time they say this is the year or else they’ll be big changes made. And then nothing happens when they fail. Then they get the same optimism for next year saying they think they’re the best team in the league and how they can win a Stanley Cup and then it’s just the same results year after year. That’s the definition of insanity.

Not the same thing as scoring a goal on fleury, but I scored an open net goal during a 1 on 1 with Ryan Ellis at a hockey camp in Nashville when I was like 13, it took me something like 20 tries and he may have let it in out of Pity, but one of my fondest memories

His own fault for taking part in those "activities" during his time on the 2018 Canadian World Junior team. But what I hate the most about these allegations is, why do people wait YEARS after the incidents occur to finally tell the local authorities what happened? Were they being threatened not to say anything? Was something going to happen to their families if they told someone? This is why I appreciate TV episodes like Full House's "Silence is Not Golden". And I remember a police officer coming to my junior high school and telling us of a case where a group of teen girls were pushing people off a bridge and threatened others not to say anything about it or "They would be next". Someone eventually told the school principal what was going on, and the teen girls were arrested. Long story short, if people are told not to say anything about a case of abuse or assault "or else", they should tell the authorities anyways, because nobody is above the law. No matter the level of wealth, fame, or social standing they may have.

@@grahamdamberger7130 I go by the rule of innocent until proven guilty. Do I think something happened that night years ago? Yes. To what extent? I have no idea since I wasn't there. Do I believe we'll ever actually know the real truth? No. These allegations are obviously a huge deal as they ruin lives. If what law enforcement said happened did happen then obviously the NHL not wanting anything to do with them/banning them makes complete sense and I get it and support it. At the same time I look at the Duke lacrosse players and their lives were ruined and they did nothing wrong. I'm just thinking out loud 🤷🏼♂️

Fedotov i think it maybe him getting used to the smaller rinks and the players skill level . why i say that at times he looks out of place on the ice and at time he looked great making some saves and bad trying to make them , Kolosov i think maybe more ready out the 2 they both need more work and it's a rebuild for the Flyers . with the NA rinks being smaller and i know it's still early i thought Michkov was going to have a problem getting space and from what i heard he don't pass what cracks me up he made some damn good passes so far . some players they get it some it takes awhile and some may never get it but they all tried the NHL is hard to play in
@albertthefarmer6023Сағат бұрын
I think you're 100% right with Fedotov getting used to the smaller rinks, but we also have to remember that we got him after he was serving his 1 year of military service which could explain why he's pretty rusty.

Kolosov looked good. The team in front of him, not so much. He will settle in, and I think his style is more NHL ready than Fedotov. As the team gets better, Ersson will look better too. Having Yam Cork out is going to mess things up. The Flyers are making mental mistakes regularly and being goaded into stupid things. Other teams are taking some liberties and nobody is really stepping in to stop that. I shouldn't see Foerster and Konecny and Couterier earlier this year getting in fights. And last night was weird. Couterier didn't do anything to spark a fight and certainly not in a way that Couts should have had to deal with an actual enforcer style fighter.

Here's my solution to stop most of the contract with deferred money. Have that money applied to the cap of the year it's being paid and limit the amount and the number of contracts you can do that with. Say 1 million per year and 1 contract per team at one time. It gives a bit of flexibility to teams and doesn't allow anyone to really circumvent the cap too badly.

Deferred money is bad but tax free states is good. What a joke league. You can bet your house that if the Leafs was a tax free province the league would be crying foul and doing something about it asap.
@preciselyinaccurate54603 сағат бұрын
No other sports league in NA has any sort of regulations on teams regarding state income tax. Also you understand there’s a massive difference between deferring money on a contract your team has full control over and the income tax of the location of your franchise which you have no control over?

ah yes, because Maple Leaf sports and entertainment is the reason why Ontario’s tax rate is so high. Nothing else, just the ownership corporation.
