I went to Khunjerab last year with family. But my then 1.5 yo daughter had breathing issue (inherited from me, I guess :)) and was constantly crying. So, I couldn't really enjoy anything at all. Your footage, especially the landscape one had really allowed me to relive the moment. Insha'Allah will go again when my kids are bit older so they can handle the journey better.

But they can come up with something like a warning or notification system for tourist sites that can for example tell a poor soul who is about to travel 1500 km that stay home and wait.

The last part of the journey was breathtaking. Even if you didn't make it to the Gate, you got to see some of the most beautiful landscapes on your way. Our Police at times is like that and that is very unfortunate but don't let that man's rudeness spoil your memories of the location.

No i had great memories :) now that i look back i did amazing things- traveled great mountains and made everlasting memories. I just did khunjerab again and intentionally stopped where i stopped earlier :) and did not go to the gate haha. The gate is just a symbol- the real beauty is the place itself. The Khunjerab Pass and each of its curves. Trees mountain peaks and rest.
