I've been on the fence about whether to keep the Skaven half or sell it off, collect more skaven or just keep them for Spearhead. ... Just grabbed the current Vanguard and we're going in on rats too baby! My Slaves to Darkness came out really well with an Icy Death Knight theme, it's going to look great on the new Stormcast too. So the question is if my Rats are also icy and I just lock in on my paint scheme regardless of army, be known as the icy dude, or if I go for contrast with molten rats. But boy, Abraxia and the S2D terrain piece, plus this launch box and then inevitably picking up Gnawholes and Spells and whatnot, all on Aussie prices, the wallet will be feeling the pinch! Probalbly give Abraxia a miss until I see the rest of 4th ed since I don't play much Varanguard/KotET anyway.

So I’m thinking that army building will be like Conquest, choose a hero for your regiment, that hero unlocks battle line and exotic choices for the regiment. No more exotic regiments than battle line.

I don't play AOS, but this (and Old World) is making me want to play skaven. I've always wanted to have the sort of Orky randomness happening in my games, but i don't like Orks enough to build a whole army.

Loving what they’re doing with Skaven so far. Certainly leaning towards Moulder & Skryre with a core of 6 Stormfiends & Rat ogres. Hopefully the Eshin will be getting those new units by Christmas.

Sounds as fun as playing against GSC early 10th, especialy for melee focused elite armies. I wonder how the whole spells and faction terrain is going to work, when GW doesn't allow stores to order them , and some places will need multiple sets of Lumineth or Ork stuff, and non of the skaven stuff.

A question i have about multi model endless spells like the warp lightning vortex is if we remove one model at a time, or if once they take their health's worth of damage the whole endless spell pops.

And so you could have a maximum of 5 units in reserve

Neither of the deep strike abilities have the once per turn clause so you can bring in as many as you want during your movement phase

You can’t Roar a gnawhole lol. It specifically says unit on krondys. Also terrain and manifestations are not affected much by non core abilities unless stated otherwise. You can’t even target them with spells as far as i’ve seen

sooo... you can deploy your whole army "on the tunnels below"??. I see no restrictions neither in "The lurking Vermintide" nor in the "Gnawhole ambush" rules that would stop you from pulling a no-deploy and giving the first turn. Probably it will be clarified somehow in the Core Rules, I would assume. (not saying that it's a good strategy, but you could still do it...which is weird, and it sucked when Beastmen did it)

Could be that in the core Rules it states that you cant replace a replacement unit. For now you can. So basicly 6 ratogres Turn Into 3 Turn Into 2

Clanrats wound on 5. Gun crew wounds on 5. Those are you basic guys, and it concerns me if this is going to be an across the board thing all the way to non-monster heroes. Skaven weren't the greatest. Basically faster, more cowardly humans. Are clanrat skaven basically grots now? What are storm vermin like now? Clawlord? Also, Is the Army back to it's pre-3rd edition of "Pick you're clan and that's all you get" nonsense? I'm absolutely loving the models, but the rules have me concerned.
