I need to come get a couple of gong from you guys. I got my first fish on a whopper plopper 190 last week and always thought it was a saltwater bait because of its size. Lake pleasant night bite is about to get wild since we're out of these storms, the water will clear up, night temps will stay high again, water temps go up, the frenzy hits. Can't wait for late sep nights.

Good Stuff, even though I live and fish in North Carolina, I go night fishing 1-2x’s a week, especially during moon phases. I start top water with a buzz bait or if the moon is full I’ll use a super spook because I can track it in the moonlight .. I’ve tried the free rig with a Geecrack bellows Gill or 8” bellows stick….🎣🙌🎣 keep up these types of tips and videos, I love the comparisons ✊💯🎣🍀

I'm really surprised ya'll didn't hit on popping baits! Everything from the Pop-R to the Rio Rico have shined for me at different times. I was smashing them the other night 🌙 but I was also being smashed by mosquitos.... never have I ever received so many bites. My body looks like the moon. I thought the Teckel Sprinker was more of a gimmick bait until I used it at night. I try to cast it up on the bank and drag it off like Griff does his buzz bait. My other staple is a short arm spinner bait fished the same way, but then letting it drop down those stair step ledges.

Does the free rig get snagged easily? I've got a new spillway I'm fishing that's just full of snags, and huge bass- so I gotta figure out how to fish it without going broke. First time fishing it, yesterday- I hooked into a giant and lost her but- I also broke off like 4-5 different baits- none of them were cheap. Lost a shaky head even- which is generally pretty damn snagless. Lost three different jigs, an underspin- that one was 100% my fault, bum cast- and the list goes on- it's rock and wood, lots and lots of both- and a pretty stiff current out toward the center.

Ended up with some SK Wake Shads- does anyone know how to fish these things? They're like speed glides almost, but they're wake baits so- they just run a few inches under the surface. They swim like a dream- straight as an arrow an extremly fast, can burn them on an 8:1 and they never blow out- is that what you do with them? Burn them over grass or something? The Jackal Mikey and Mikey jr. seem like the same kind of bait, I have both but I don't know really how they're intended to be fished either. Also have the speed wake by 6th sense- same thing- no idea how to fish it. I bought them all because they looked sexy as hell on the rack- yeah, I'm not a real bright guy- just love to fish.
