Face it Horizon, we live in a different world now where people with no knowledge of our wildlife, full of self deluded ignorance feel their way is correct. They hate wildlife, hate true nature, just look at the rubbish and pollution these people leave behind. Terrible people. yep, legally fishing is the important part of that statement though. However, if you are fishing in an area you can't fish in, its not harassment. Which leads me to the question...is the person allowed to fish where he was fishing?

I’m hooked. You are so eloquent and middle class it winds these people up so much and they wheel spin tying to get traction out of their argument and they never do. You play them into your net with calm facts and no reactiveness and they know it so can only choke on their pride some more by saying so much rubbish. This women is a prime example of this. Lady tell your feelings what to feel and not let your feelings tell you what to feel. How you stay so calm is a class act. One that really winds up people like her who carry so much emotional baggage and therefore can’t see things as they are in life is, “I’m so sorry you think that and have translated this into that but it’s not the case.” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Sorry for the belated comment, I've only just seen this video. I used to fish in a national trust owned lake in the grounds of a stately home. The grounds were open to the public free of charge (plus a parking fee if applicable). The fishing was run by a local club. People were always walking past and many would say hello, and quite a few would stop to talk. We never ever had any negativity from anyone. Most of the fish were bream, and the 2 most common questions were (you've probably guessed already) "What fish are they?" "Do you eat them?" I can't believe the difference we encountered to what you encounter. Providing you have a valid EA rod licence and you have permission to fish, whether that be a day ticket, club membership, council permission, land owners permission, canal trust permit etc etc there is nothing she or anyone else can do to stop you fishing. If you don't have these then you are poaching even if you return your catch to the water alive. Also I believe (i'm not a lawyer so don't qoute me) that poaching is a civil matter not a criminal matter. Anyway carry on posting videos if you can as they are very interesting.

yes indeed there is a different culture even in other parts of this country..no problem at all ...even encouraged as a way of life by the folk of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall..where there is a fishing tradition....it's this sharp elbowed urban middle class attitude type based on more ignorant sentiment and a need to complain than worldly knowledge and understanding, that our democracy here in UK has degenerated into. that said it is best and most productive not to meet hostility with hostility...as ambassador's of the sport it is our responsibility to take the higher ground...

Its true story time from an Angler some years ago a pal of mine was fishing a canal round the bend came a BIG posh cabin launch So me pal moved his big rod out of way at front of this huge boat was a young boy, he shouted Daddy an fisher man suddenly the owner Capt? stood up and shouted fuck fishermen and put his huge boat full throttle for ward back forward back over and over then gave 2 fingers to me pal But my pal appearing so placid chucked his stuff in car he put all maggots worms in a bucket and then at bridge over canal he scooped up some horse shit added water and drove to a bridge 2 miles up canal and sat with glowering revenge In du time this big boat came upon the bridge as it passed my beloved pal emptied the lot over the bald mans head The bald loon lost it did not turn after bridge and rammed 2 narrow boats while occupants were having tea carnage ensued me pal drove away

defiantly not a fail day.. interesting experiential fishing I would say!...that woman..she was actually mellowing towards the end of that encounter..another worthy angle is to educate the general public to the fact that these fishies are a product of millions of years of rigerous evolutionary adaptation..predation by predators that no longer exist.. bears, fish eagles, seals, turtles, boars, otters, various canines etc..and have capacities to eject hooks, tolerate periods out of water..and so on..espically as a conscientious angler who respects his quarry...cultivate that ring of truth..it works wonders man..I actually caught a tench off the top in such surface weed free lining for carpies.. interesting!..
