Me and my brother had a shooting competion. 3 best shots @ 500 yards with 303 british fmj. I used the British Enfield no3 MK1 and he used the Ross MK3. Mine was a sporterized with 4x zoom scope and his was sporterized too but he still had peep sights and no scope. My target was about a foot apart each shot and his was 2inch apart and the 2nd and 3rd shot hit the same hole. He passed away last year and now I have his rifle. I will use it for hunting. He used his cellphone for the picture. We kept the same setting on our rifles for a Xmas day hunt thinking we could snipe an elk at the end of the field but we walked over a hill and they were there at 200 yards away and we had 3 shots each and all our shots went over top the elk heard. Now I use a 200 yards zero with my 303.

After the bore war canada wanted to upgrade the army so they asked to buy lee Enfield from Britain and they said no they can't make enough to support us both so then they asked to use the patient to build them here and Britain also said no so canada paid charles ross to design and make rifles here in canada
