The 2020 Ride Pig Series consists of 4 boards that all have unique properties and attributes. The Twin Pig and the Warpig may be cousins but they have some differences that are important to note. Both boards have very wide waist widths because of their volume shift stories. The Twin Pig differs from the Warpig with its asymmetrical design and camber in its profile shape. The Warpig has a tapered build/sidecut and also has carbon where the Twinpig lacks it.

I’m 6’0 and 210 pounds and I bought the 151 twin pig and it’s been amazing. Been riding it all year and haven’t had a single chip in the top sheet. It’s insanely fun to ride.

I have the twin pig. Awesome board but shitty top sheet. Chips and chunks very easily. Had to epoxy mine after my first day on icy snow. Super fun board to ride though, especially carving around with my size 12 boots. Really nice park board, locks on rails nicely.

War pig is one hell of a board. More durable top sheet is BS though. The first time I ever took this board out for the season I had chips it the top sheet. Only rode the board on groomers. Very disappointing for what you pay for it. Still an amazing board though

I'm not sure if there's anything quite like the warpig in any other brands lineup, but you can check out the Burton Slush Puppy. It is not as wide, but still has many of the same properties.

The top sheet complaints are a bit confusing to me. I rode my warpig for a season and while I have normal wear and tear, I definitely don't have any cracking or major chipping. The paint kinda flakes away at the edges a bit, but nothing that actually exposes the core. I wonder if people are used to that extra layer of top sheet, which when chipped exposes kinda what's already exposed on this board, so when the paint flakes away it seems worse than it is. Whether I got lucky, or other got unlucky, I love this deck. And I like that it's definitely lighter because of the lack of topsheet
@RyanHicks
@RyanHicks 4 жыл бұрын
Top sheets on ride boards certainly suck. They do chip easily. I've had my wildlife one full season and only rode 10-12 times last year and I have a big knicks/chips in the tail, small knicks all around the edges-virtually all over the top sheet-but can only see if you get close to it, and the black paint (whatever it is) has been coming off on all the rolled edges and small half circle sliver about 2.5 inches long on the tail. And I didn't even beat this board up; rarely icy conditions. Colorado 95% of the time at Loveland.

You could ride the 151 as a "park" board if you wanted to. The regular width versions of these boards are plenty wide for a size 13. The 156w is more like an "Extra Wide"

Thanks for the awesome comparison. Would a 156W Twinpig fit me ? : 6´2" 166lbs and size 13 feet... or would I be better off with a 154 considering my weight?
@thehouse
@thehouse 2 жыл бұрын
That one is up to you, If you are riding park all day long the 154 would be great. If you want to spend a good amount of time outside of the park as well the 157 would be better. As for the wide version, it's not needed. The waist widths on the regular ones are the same (if not more) as most "wide" boards on the market. www.the-house.com/search.html?keywords=twinpig

@@thehouse Thank you very much for your detailed answer! Highly appreciate it. So you wouldnt consider the 156W a good choice inbetween? Im kind of more an allmountain guy, still riding 40% switch and seeing park on a regular basis. I would just fear the 157 beeing too stiff/ top much for my 83 Kg 😅
@thehouse
@thehouse 2 жыл бұрын
@@MarvQua Hoesntly you wouldnt notice a difference in the stiffness. If anything the 156w would probably feel a teeny tiny bit stiffer. You are taking away 1 cm from the nose but you are adding extra width to the entire length of the board.

I am looking to buy a warpig for all mountain use as my everyday board. slopes with friends (carving), side hits and butters on the piste while cruising, a little bit of pow if possible. no rails and no huge kickers. with 183cm (6ft) and around 80kg (175lbs) would you go for the 151 or 154? boot size 10 will fit both.

I'm an intermediate rider and this is my first season with the Warpig, coming out of an Arbor Westmark Rocker. The pig helped me a lot carving properly. The board is locked in the turns, no fear of slipping, I really feel the board bitting through the snow. It's also stable enough with speed. Go for it, it has made wonders for me. I need to give another shot to the Westmark to feel the difference!
