For 100lb trophy gar, you need a 40-60lb rod with a 6/0-8/0 hook, and using large cutbait is probably the best, shiners/large minnows work great too

For Lewers gars lake walkers. At that lake the guards really do like the walkers and the further out you can get the more odds of you coming across one especially right where you’re fission have to go across the holes that they’re holding up in. Do you will research about the fish that you’re going after and they do implement it a little bit in the game. For baits, they like shiners large Mentos cut bait you didn’t even get them on minnows.

Pro tip for catching big zlligator gar: use a #6/0 to #8/0 hook on your strongest bottom rod, like a heavy chaser on large minn9ws at night

I love coming to this place, the gar are a huge money grab, but you need a pretty big net to hold a decent number, I find the hook size to be the main issue with small vs large fish, the gar seem to like 5/0 hook or bigger, my PB is about 100lb trophy gar, medium cutbait or crawfish are good cheap bait options

for the future Id recomend using the advanced thing so you can tell when you reel line and rod are being damaged and also for picking up the rod on the stand for rod slot 1 hit shift 1 rod slot 2 shift 2 and rod slot 3 shift 3. Also Id recomend turning drag to scroll wheel and l would be reel speed up and k would be reel speed down. Keep up the good content tho.

Played Fishing Planet for about 600 hours but gave up on it. Every time you found a good spot and a method that worked very well, they nerfed it. Bugs still exist since game creation which they don't fix but never miss a chance to make a new DLC. This did make me want to go back and mess with it again.
