I've done the coyote howl in that situation before, but the deer just stopped and looked nervously. Glad it may have worked for you guys. In my experience, there's just not a good way to leave in that situation without spooking deer. Now on private land if you're in a stand or blind next to a field or road, having someone drive close to the stand to pick you up is much less spooky and has kept deer from changing their pattern for me. Thanks for the videos and keep it up.

I've been using a loose leaf type suit for years. People. They work. They help hide the human form which animals know. I've had bobcats and coyotes with 5 feet of me. I've had cows within 1 foot and they miss very little in their home pasture. The hard part is getting the bow drawn without blowing the hunt mostly.

Great hunt guys! Aaron... am I wrong in my understanding that buck decoys should be placed in a way that will offer you the best shot for a buck walking in to the decoy nose to nose (head-on)? I was always told that a buck will approach a buck decoy from head-on, as opposed to approaching a doe from behind (down wind). If there's any truth to the head-on thing, it looked like any approaching deer to your decoy would have offered quartering-to shots?
