I turn on these videos from THP, turn the volume down to medium, lay my phone on my chest with my eyes closed and listen to the whispering and the deer, elk, turkeys etc… 10 mins I’m out cold! So relaxed and I usually dream a awesome hunting dream.

I love the pure excitement when u see someone get an animal. Watching my cousins 10 year old kid get his first deer and how jacked he was. Hell i love the excitement when i got my first elk. I shot a lil cow on my first elk and god damn i was jacked. Then when i shot my first bull which was a spike i was so excited. Then my first 6 point i was shaking so bad and was absolutely pumped. Then i got my first big bull which was a 345 7x7 made me lose my shit. I was almost in tears. Man i love hunting and the excitement from everyone involved when u have a successful hunt. The stories when ur at camp with everyone and goin over the events of the hunt. theres nothing like it.

Excellent camera work, nice job keeping Ted calm and in the hunt. Im sure there were alot of hunters sitting on their ARM CHAIR HUNTING STANDS YELLING SHOOT SHOOT!!!! He's gonna run off. One thing those hunters need to remember is the Goal for HTP is to help teach us hunters who may never have been in certain hunting situations or first time hunting a certain species and how important it is to relax and wait for your best shot to harvest that animal in the most ethical way possible and also as a camera operator its important that they have the best possible angle on the animal and to communicate with the hunter that hes ready take the shot when you have it. I'd love to hear all the inexperienced hunters yelling at Ted thinking hes taking too long and the bull is gonna run off.. thats where experience comes in handy and how to read an animals body language. Ted im sure was very excited but I think it showed he wasn't worried of that bull running off he waited for the absolute best shot and once the camera guy said he was on him Ted still waited for that best clean clear safe shot . Im sure there were some Antler Fever a little bit but if you've never shot and elk there's probably more then half that take two shots or more to bring down. I'm a 59 year hunter who has hunted just about every North American animal there is and I still learn something new watching the HTP team so keep doing what you guys do best teach the hunting and the non- hunting groups how to ethically harvest a species of animal safely for any other hunters in your general bullet path and hopefully with one shot harvest your animal. Now something the size of an elk is almost impossible to harvest with one shot but thanks for all you guys do
