I think South Africa underestimates how Zimbabweans and South Africans pushed the culture here in the UK….we wouldnt go to other clubs or events if they didn’t play the music from back home…forced event planners to introduce our Djs too towards the end of the club We stay on point with the music coz of social media and marketing…we try and emulate the culture as much as we can despite the scene here… Other African cultures here ended up not hating the wave and jumped in during covid…it’s the Dancing that fascinated them the most along with the beats mainly Gqom & Amapiano… The Zim/SA community has been pushing all the genres from before…we still bump to old school Kwaito, all forms of the deep house/semi/Afro… Right now Amapiano are on other level still… Seeing Mansa react to the videos made him known in the UK too… SA Hip Hop with Amapiano is wild 🔥🔥🔥
