The privilege of baking was given to Krakow's Jews in the 17th century by King Jan III Sobieski. Emigrants brought this bread to the USA in the 19th century. Not everything survived on Wawel Hill. Poland did not exist in the 19th century. Then many buildings were demolished and Austrian barracks were built.

I live a 45-minute drive from Krakow south towards the Tatra Mountains and the border with Slovakia .
