I’m really shocked at how much this game improved on from the first game. Everything from the production value, the voice acting, the gameplay, and the horror is just miles better than the first game. The "he died there" coordinates lead to a mountain range in the middle of Kyrgyzstan. I have no idea what that means for the lore but I'm sure Matpat will figure it out. Also this game gives me very heavy Bioshock vibes. The first game didn't give me that at all but this one keeps making me think of Bioshock because of it's loot system, combat system (especially with the powers), the upgrading your weapons, and the dystopian environment. Even the mechanic that lets you upgrade parts of yourself like your health reminds me of Bioshock Infinite. It may just be me but I feel like for this one they had a lot of inspiration from Bioshock.

To my knowledge, Joey created the ink machine to torment his version of Henry to blow off steam. Here, an endless cycle would make this Henry go gradually insane, all taking place within the old workshop. Later, when Joey died and Arch Gate took over, Wilson secretly stole the machine and discovered the world. In a craze of power, he decided to begin making his own changes, leading to events that would put the cycle resets on pause, thus letting the characters already there to actually develop the world beyond the studio (hence the city, "built on broken dreams", as in it could all be reset in an instant). Wilson's only true obstacle is Bendy, so he devises the plan to replace him with another cartoon protagonist, but requires a soul so that it doesn't get out of control like Bendy. To my knowledge. Probably not exact, there is a chance that Joey could've originally created the machine to make lifelike versions of his characters for a "Bendy Land" theme park, and when that didn't work out, he used the machine for his own purposes.

The way I, understand it, the GENT corporation is basically this evil cult. They're the ones who built the Ink machine. They made the weapons, the gates. In the first game, we learned that Thomas Connor (The voice of Boris the wolf) created the Ink Mancine. Well in THIS GAME, there are multiple notes that basically say that Thomas works for GENT Corp. and he built it and other stuff for Mr. Drew, BUT, if Drew's studio's go Bankrupt, GENT Corp takes their stuff back. They basically used the studio as a place to work/research all kinds of ocult things. There's even a message from William at one point, where it straight up tells you that agents working for the GENT Corp came asking about the Ink machine, soon after Archgate moved everything in. HOWEVER, the lady at the desk didn't know anything about it, so a man named, "Mr. GRAY" walked away angry, but empty handed. I think GRAY was/is to GENT Corp what Drew is to his company and Archie is to Archgate. I believe that the final scene there means that the GENT Corp have stolen back the Ink machine, and in the next game, it'll be Audrey, Allison, Tom, Henry & Bendy, versus the Evil cult/Corp that built the Ink machine and made everything possible.

And to add to that I think that the uni machine is an avatar for “the ink demons” powe anything u draw/write with the ink from the machine will “bring it to life” but at a cost!!! The souls off all who worked on the project, so basically trading your and the workers souls to make amazing animations and writing (the lost souls being previous deals) Also I think in the past it might have been a case were someone made a deal and their soul was just taken but now with the machine producing the ink anyone who uses it / is involved with the end product is trapped in this world It would explain why we see Joey,both Alice’s (both the voice actors), Sammy and both borises having actual names and stuff

I have to be honest, this game reminds me VERY MUCH of Bioshock! It's got that style in every aspect of it (the menu, the voiceover, the voice tapes etc.) And I think that is what pulled me in, as Bioshock is literally one of my favourite game series. The creators did such an amazing job on this one, I'm truly impressed and happy to be able to play it!

honestly i too am pretty shocked! they really went all in with this one, and i'm glad they did. they gave us a hyped up-- but not exactly fruitful experience in the first game, but boy did they make our wait for a game just as good as its hype a worthit trade. fr, cannot put into words how gorgeous this game is, and how much more depth they implimented-- they also patched up the incredibely wacky and off the rail story they had before, which i'm glad they did.

Esthetically, this artwork is such a love letter to games like dishonored, bioshock and strangely a little bit of Disney inspiration, I love seeing how it all came together. That said, this game does feel a bit rushed, a tad mushed together, and Just a little bit unpolished. Simple things like the audio timing and its level of volume. Or the fact that even though the Inc demon has a system in place where you hide as soon as they are activated, we never have instances in where we see them in our area. It makes sense that we'd have some type of visible interaction like only seeing his legs and feet if we're in the barrels or him walking by when we hide in lockers, an getting a view shot of the wide infamous smile of his just looking around, it's extra detail, but it the game does good regardless what the extra mile would have been a nice touch. In games like dishonored more than bioshock we actually get reactions to some of the information learned while playing the game or like picking up notes and hearing the audio, when the keepers did all these experiments on bendy via tape recording, there no reaction from Audrey. I feel like it's weird to give the option of finding out this information early and not doing anything with it Only for it to be revealed later on with wilson. The game is having the ink demon go out of his way to explain that she's part of this realm before she even meets Joey and there's no audio of what questioning it or why does he keep saying that and then running into Joey and having this big bloww up before the blow up. It's like dumping all this information and not really doing anything with it, costwise or just not being able to have everything they wanted into this game. it just feels like it comes up short even though it's such a beautiful artistic type of game that we haven't seen for a while.
