Current Run: Crusader (start with: a crusader avatar, increased chance of finding pious backgrounds, fortifiend mind perk free for everyone, pious backgrounds are 25% cheaper upfront and upkeep, but outlaws are 25% more expensive)

Legends Mod for Battle Brothers is the largest expansion-type mod available to the game. It contains plenty of new enemies, brothers, perks, magic, origins, etc. You can even play as the skeletons, a necromancer or even a druid, amongst many other starts. The sub-mods; World Economy, Layered Armour, Battle Sisters and Dynamic Perks add a lot of variety to the game (World-wide Magic and Theriantrophy are still a work in progress and hopefully will return in the future).
PTR is a sub/additional mod that strongly complements Legend's Mod for Battle Brothers. The mod adds an extra 100+ perks specialized, mainly, into two categories; background/profession related and weapon related. Not only are the perks extremely varied and provide tons of extra customization, you're enemies can also use some of them too!! (more prevalent on higher lvl/tiered enemies)

Haha, yeah it's sometimes luck as well. Goblins aren't always found near orcs but it sometimes helps :)

I don't really understand killing the dogs, they are not the best in combat, yes, but you can use them to make catching fleeing/retreating enemies easier. Also since you clearly do not care about them, them dying while doing something convenient does not matter. Do they add to fatigue or something?

Tbh I don't remember where I focused a dog specifically (if you timestamp with your questions I can help with the answer :) ) But as a general thing, I am a supporter of the morale-game and reducing enemy numbers helps, as well, with reducing their combat potential. (wavering/breaking definitely hits harder on better enemies but is still very valuable) However, in sticky situations, keeping the easy enemies alive (like dogs) can reeeeeeally help with having your bro have higher stacks of "survival instincts" to have harder enemies miss more often (we use this strat later on). But yeah, it's a give/take between the morale-game and the "survival instincts" game :)

how are you planning to fight the barbs? do late-game Barbarians not have overwhelm on patch 15 of Legends yet? that ended my run on the newest Legends patch... getting -110% Melee Skill is too harsh imo

That's a good question, and if they have overwhelm it may be really hard to deal with. (like those frenzy's....pretty rough) Some enemies just can't be soloed, but hopefully we can beat the king :)

Man, the updates are wild, does the team ever rest? I'm loving all the series, I don't always comment (mainly because I'm doing something else and then forget), but always try tp drop a like. Btw, has anyone ever told you that for an Aussie you don't have an (stereotypical) accent?

Hi, really liking this playthrough, even started my own now. What if you swap to the sword for frenzied direwolfs and hit Riposte? Might be quicker.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it and best of luck with your own run! Sword riposte is great but doesn't help very much with over whelm. Appreciate the suggestion, but we did find a great solution to our overwhelm problem around ep25ish (could have figured it out sooner haha) Adrenaline is the best fix, but we made the second best and are very happy with it :)

Love this series, in this mod can you craft the gem to avoid stun? Because I think that with orcs stun is not a secondary problem

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it :) You can craft that rune (for stuns) in legends, but PTR recently removed it from the game as a balancing update. (Also our crusader can't make runes sadly :(

@@southernproletariat5404 No problem at all :) it's easy to get lost with all the changes (I forget sometimes too) This solo series has the same mods as the ranger series, but sadly even the ranger series can't make any more stun runes :( We can make other runes in the ranger series, but PTR stun immunity is only able to be achieved from shieldwalls and indomitable. (we just have a couple stun runes on the rangers because we made them before the change)

There is a noble origin, but you can't join the factions or have titles and such. Will forever be mercenaries (unless dlc/mods change that in the future)

Good question, but we are going to stick with the flail for the rest of the run. The crusader doesn't get axe mastery so we would struggle to swing it in a circle (becuase the fatigue is expensive). We're loving the flail atm but will need to buy more (and find a famed one) so we can have enough durability for bigger fights (need brawny too!)
