Ive got a 16 freewheeler. Got it off my grandpa before he passed. I wasnt a bike rider at all. More of my pops & grandpa thing. One day for shts & giggles i asked my grandpa if i can ride it. It had been sitting in the garage for months. He perked up real quick an taught me how to ride it. Ended up keeping it for weeks at a time. Riding with my pops all over TX. Then he passed. An my pops just told me to keep it. Its not that bad. Its really fun. Ive thought about trading it. Just cant bring myself to do it though. Sentimental value. You dont have to be old or have some kind of physical ailment to ride it. Been all over the state of TX on it. Comfortable as hell on long distance rides. Id recommend them to everybody. Even if you have a 2 wheel. They are really fun

@@theinfinitryda So curious, what is the difference between a "biker" and a "motorcycle rider"?

You’re vid is one of the best explanations of the trike. Many other vids say, it’s weird, it’s not for me etc,etc. They all say I wouldn’t have one when in reality we All with any luck become “Geezers” and will likely end up on a trike In The Wind. We have a 23 Vivid Black Freewheeler which we luv. It’s a blast with a ton of torque off the line because of the extra weight and 3rd wheel. The Only down point which has nothing to do with the trike and everything to do with Harley Davidson. The Freewheeler doesn’t come with LED’s as standard equipment. I got mine from Custom Dynamics and installed them myself. LED’s make a world of difference in the Be Seen Dept. As with any Harley the options are vast and depends on how much you want to spend, BUT we luv the Freewheeler, because it’s a blast. As for curves you lean a bit like you said but tighter twisties you need to slow a bit. We bought the trike because I have back and knees issues and was away from riding because of it but the trike got us both back out in the wind.

Ive never driven a bike, but I have back problems and am wondering if I should just start with a trike.

I've got back problems and I ride a trike anywhere I care to go. Alot easier than two wheels. And fun too.

I have a 2015 freewheeler and I love it nice video

Here in the UK a trike is not about being unable to balance a big bike. It is almost always because you can drive one here on a full car license and with no helmet. If you go the bike route you have a difficult and expensive set of lessons ahead of you and an equally costly test at the end.

I love the look of it. I’m dying to get one can’t ride a regular bike due to a disability from birth so hoping this will get me into the wind. Just have to figure out how to get an electronic shifter on it. I think they exist if anybody has some comments on that I know they used to make one that used air pressure to shift. Let me know. Also, I have to figure out a way to attach my wheelchair to the rack on the back that you can get on the trunk.

The RG3 looks amazing. I have been thinking about one for the practicality of taking my dog. I have looked at a side car for my RG... but eh.

I think that some sort of radiator would be good to cool the engine as being stuck in traffic would cause overheating.
@theinfinitryda5 ай бұрын
Most Harleys are oil cooled and the do ok in traffic. They can get hot though but not as fast as you’d think.
@petesouthwales8675 ай бұрын
@@theinfinitryda Hi. I am not disrespecting the Harley but here in the UK we get stuck in traffic alot so a fan on the oil cooler would be a good idea as the one I had got very hot.

How does the ride handle on twisty’s?
@theinfinitryda21 күн бұрын
For me personally it’s not my favorite. At higher speeds in corners it feels a little sketchy at first until you start to counter balance. But some people love it. Just takes some getting used to.

Nice video, thanks! My take on trikes is that they are motorcycles. A motorbike is a motorcycle with two wheels. A motor trike is a motorcycle with three wheels. On a bicycle or a tricycle the power comes from the "cycling" of the pedals by the rider. On a motorcycle the power comes from the "cycling" of the engine. So does that mean a car is technically a motorcycle too?? An enclosed quad cycle maybe? 🤔
