American guy, “What if Nuclear weapon was never invented?” My knowledge: They should be thought of but if they was never make, Japan wouldn’t be nuked, Japan didn’t surrender lead to WWII lasts longer. Many countries with nuclear weapons will not exist, there won’t be knowledge about Nuclear Weapons. There won’t be nuke buttons of countries that have nukes. Less chance of peace since 1970s. No movies about Nukes. Etc.

Kimg tiger was jusy a miss-traslation from Königstiger, which means Bengal tiger (sorry if bengal is wrong) the reason why it was miss translatet, is because König mean king and tiger, well means tiger. So the Allied named it that.

ok, if you want to get sponsorship without listening to me roaring here, please make your infographics seriously. The Japanese ship shown in the video is a *destroyer from the JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force)* , identified by the *helicopter port* at the back of the ship, and the *76mm rapid-fire gun* , which, the IJN destroyers do *NOT* have those equipped At the time the IJN destroyer was attacked by PT boats, they are most likely equipped with *12.7cm/50 naval guns* , usually one at the front, 2 at the back, and 2-3 salvos of *61cm(Type 93) torpedoes* , depending on the class of the destroyer, and if the Japanese really got a time machine to bring the JMSDF ship back to WW2, the onboard radar should have detected the torpedoboats , and the rapid-fire gun together with the machine guns should be fast enough to handle them

PT Boats had engines that were variations of the Packard built Rolls-Royce Merlin. These engines also powered the RAF Hurricane, Spitfire, Mosquito and Lancaster and the USAAF P-51. That engine truly was THE weapon of the war.
@dukecraig24024 жыл бұрын
No they weren't, when people read the they had Packard V12's they assume that they're Merlin's but they're not, they're a Packard designed V12 aircraft engine from the 20's based on the Liberty engine that were modified for marine use via a transmission that bolts on where the prop reduction gear normally bolts on.

Most of them have armament to deal with various threats, 4 more torpedoes is a lot of weight, that means less 20 and 37mm guns for attacking supply barges (which sometimes had drafts so shallow it was hard to use torpedoes against them) or 20mm and .50 cals for defense against aircraft.

@@22steve5150 adding a few extra torp tubes would not effect amount of other weapons and they could keep them empty until they get a big mission then load them
@22steve51505 жыл бұрын
@@kiwidemon8555 You do understand that the weapon loadouts that they had dropped their speed down to the point where they were just barely fast enough for the job, right? They went from 41-44 knots in trials down to an average of 36 knots with a full weapon load, a full knot or 2 slower than most modern Japanese destroyers. Adding, say 4 extra tubes puts another 4,000-6000 pounds for these small boats (empty) and the mark 8 torpedoes weighed 2600 pounds each. With other weapons retained and an additional 4 tubes loaded with mark 8 torpedoes, you're talking up to 8.2 extra tons for a boat with a full load displacement of 57 tons, increasing the weight of the boats by 14%. That would drop their speed down to around 30 knots, put them significantly lower in the water, significant stress to the wooden hulls, and likely give them serious stability problems since that extra weight would be topside and situated in the outboards.

He said, "The Americans are still rebuilding their fleet after the devastation of Pearl harbor half a year ago." I think he meant half a century ago... Unless there was another attack that I don't know about.

@Lost Aquarian Yeah, I don't recall the context of this video and I really don't feel like watching it again, so I'll just assume it was said correctly. I thought he said the navy "Is" still currently rebuilding their fleet which sounded weird that he would give historical facts in present tense.
