Coming from a Denver Local, there are a few things that need to be addressed. Every one refers to this airport as DIA(for short). Also, there are definitely several levels below the surface; and past sub level 2 I heard pretty much everything is restricted access to even the employees(my parents used to work here). The main idea for the tunnels (we Coloradans believe) is that there is a tunnel system that leads to NORAD. Why? There is a large Aerospace presence in Colorado. NORAD and Cheyenne mountain are very secure places where high officials could seek shelter, hence the tunnels from the airport to the bunkers. Anyways, the Bronco statue is no doubt creepy, especially at night. And the art seen is not as bad as depicted. Overall its one of the less confusing airports (unlike LAX) and has a great layout. The big tents on top represent the snow capped mountains across Colorado. There ya go.

My friends and I went on a exploratory roadtrip in 2014. We decided to stop in at the Denver Airport just to check it out. We didn't really do anything to draw attention to ourselves. It seemed 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺 normal, but out of the corners of our eyes we saw employees of the airport watching us constantly... would even see a couple of them speaking to each other while making sure not to let us too far out of their sights. It was a very strange experience.
@1000CalorieSnackPack Жыл бұрын
Likely because it's very easy for people who've worked there for a while to tell who's at the airport with intention to fly versus those with no intention to fly. Those who seemingly don't intend to fly will certainly get an extra eye because those are the ones who typically cause problems, based on pattern and the commonality of homeless people using the airport as a shelter and then drugging up, leading to more issues. Not saying this fits your category, but workers can easily tell who's there with no intention to fly and based on previous experiences they've had will focus on you a bit more.

Ok, first it's not Den Airport. No one here calls it that and neither do the airlines that fly in here. It's called "D I A" for Denver International Airport. Two the horse is called Blucifer and is kind of an homage to the football team the Denver Broncos whose colors are blue and orange but they couldn't get the eyes to glow orange (not sure why). The way the airport was designed it was supposed to have a pinwheel look to accommodate multiple planes landing/taking off simultaneously but I will admit it does bear a creepy resemblance to a swastika unfortunately. The old airport was very outdated, super crowded and in need of massive overhaul so it was easier to build a new one rather then remodel the old one while trying to keep it running. Coming from someone who works there, DIA is the third busiest airport in the US, which makes more runways more necessary. Many flights stopover at DIA for fuel and maintenance on their way. Having four runways allows for more short-distance (contract) flights. The runways' usage are determined by the weather since there is always wind. The old airport you referenced, Stapleton, was nowhere near capable of the volume DIA sees. The rumors that the airport connects to Cheyenne Mountain are impossible. 100 miles of tunnel through multiple major cities would be an infrastructure nightmare.

@J B DIA currently has 6 runways; 4 are north/south (34/16 L/R) and (35/17 L/R) and 2 are east/west (26/27 L/R). The reason (AFAIK) for the layout is so that airplanes can taxi to and from the runways to the terminals, without ever having to cross an active runway. Again, AFAIK, DIA is the only major airport with this layout. The "master plan" for DIA allows for 6 north/south runways and 6 east/west runways.

I worked at the airport over the summer as a Southwest intern at Den and the entire time I was working there (I did go to the basement and there is nothing down there except tunnels for baggage cars and a abandoned baggage system). The different airport layout is because we have so much room compared to other airports. It also makes taking off a much easier thing to do because you’re almost always taking off into the wind. It’s a great airport though! I’d totally recommend flying through it.

I live in Denver and my grandpa helped build this airport and said the airport opened pretty late and it was because of the baggage system thing rather than the so called “multi story buildings” ,and there aren’t really secret tunnels under the place.
@gelatinous69152 жыл бұрын
It's not even a "conspiracy" theory to suspect there is some kind of classified government bunker or the like. It's in the very center of the country. It's the closest international airport to several millitary bases and the Cheyenne Mountain nuclear bunker (the "war room" of the US.) There were reportedly unnecesarially large underground structures built for the airport with lots of unnacounted space. I don't think it's "area 51" or anything like that, rather just a strategic place for a secret millitary command post or bunker.

The theme of the mural is not disturbing. What is disturbing is the order in which the paintings in the mural are placed. In one painting it appears that Gas Mask Guy has been defeated, world peace has been achieved. A noble goal. However the final paining in the mural, Gas Mask Guy returns and everyone is dead, or the survivors under his control. Why such an ending for a public mural is beyond me, since public murals have always been commissioned to inspire, not frighten

For the record, locals always refer to Denver International Airport as "DIA", not "DEN Airport.". Stapleton International Airport was closed because it couldn't handle bad weather, couldn't expand and the people who lived near there complained about the noise. DIA was designed to serve as a hub airport for three airlines, but Frontier Airlines (no relationship to the current Frontier Airlines) went bankrupt, and Continental ceased hub operations in Denver in 1994 (after being the first airline to sign a lease and demanding the airport build a bridge between the main terminal and the A Concourse). Only recently has DIA met the passenger volume initially projected thanks to the new Frontier, United and Southwest all having major operations at that airport.

The only potentail questionable thing about DEN is the layout of its runways, but I think some people are also looking too much into this... However when you look at the layout of the runways they actually make sense. While many other airports use runways that cross over eachother (such as Midway Airport in Chicago) this layout at DEN means that techinicall up to 6 planes could land at once, although they probably never have that many, since the runways all face different directions, and/or are parallel, but none of them cross over eachother.

Central Colorado, the area underneath the east side of the Denver metro area contains an energy vortex, or a portal deep underground. The majority of this is where the airport was built on top off. This was not pre-planned but discovered after this land was bought for the construction of the airport. The portal is a direct path into another dimension. Spiritual entires have been escaping from this portal for decades. I am a Denver native. Lived here my whole life. I grew up in Aurora, Colorado and have noticed something very intriguing. Also note, I am 37 years old, I have travelled all around the country and many parts of the world. I have worked in business, entertainment, the medical industry, sales, I was a professional photographer on the side which allowed me to travel a lot. I have met people from ALL over the world. But one thing I will say. There is something “different” with many of the people I know whom grew up in Aurora Colorado between 1980-2000. They display certain traits and characteristics I’ve never really met on this scale collectively in any other part of world I’ve been. They are the most creative, enlightened, awakened, intelligent, wise, unique individuals I have ever met. I can’t explain it, and I get this may be interpreted as bias. But there is a feeling of the type of people I meet from Colorado that I don’t get anywhere else, and again, it’s only natives that lived here between the years of 1980-2000. It’s like something happened in Aurora underground during that time and it impacted the people that lived above ground during the time. Also note that Colorado is considered sort of the more sensible, more “enlightened” part of the country. By all accounts and survey we are the healthiest state, the happiest state, and one the more educated areas as well. We have NORAD, as well as some of the most advanced technological and engineering companies are located here as well. I know this sounds crazy. But I am also one of these individuals. I believe an individual from this part of the world is destined to change the world in someway. I feel that time is coming soon.

I live in a small town in Pennsylvania, and I've got a masonic temple that's above a creepy vintage furniture place. I drive past the place multiple times a day, as it's on the way to one of the main roads around town. There is a small parking lot kinda tucked in the side/back. There's cars there most of the time, but they're never the same cars. They will park, not move for at least a week, and then at some point they all disappear and new cars pull up. I've seen a man walking in to the building, but I've never seen anyone walking out.
