I really recommend going to Queensferry when coming back down the way. It’s in Edinburgh and u can park up Infront of the 3 bridges! Over the water is fife where u will get amazing country side views. You can not miss out on seeing the three bridges it’s an amazing view and the girls will love the water!

At secondary school , many moons ago, I loved geography and hated history with a passion. Only when I got into my late 30's did I actually grasp just how much geography and history compliment each other and you can learn so much about one from the other. I started looking into my family tree five years ago and I have learnt so much about the country and the historical events affecting my ancestors through the ages. Chris, if you haven't looked into your own family history before I would highly recommend it. Sarah and the girls would enjoy it too. My nieces aged 10 and 6 spent the night and we looked at the tree and they asked questions not only about the people but used google maps to pull up the places where people lived etc. I have learnt so much from my research, I go off on a tangent sometimes and add nothing to my tree but find out about occupations in the 19th century and living conditions in the 18th century for example. My hope is to one day visit the places my ancestors have been. One of my direct ancestors is actually part of an exhibition in Dundee and it would be fantastic to visit and see the ship that he was part of making. I am genuinely loving this holiday vlog so much more than any of your others and one reason is because you are loving it. No one is too old or too young to learn and I think you are both so brave to even attempt on video the pronunciation of the places you are visiting and even if you get it wrong it doesn't matter as you are showing your children a real good example of how you can't get it right all the time but if you don't try you will never know. Van life doesn't seem so rough either... I might even be persuaded by my hubby now as before the thought terrified me of not being at a campsite at least.

Chris, we might not be able to ever know the people in the past and what they were doing back in the past but maybe in, let's say like 200 years from now, some people will find the footage you recorded today and they will be like wow the people from 2020 stood at the exact same spot as we do in 2220 that's so interesting and amazing to see what they did im so glad we can watch this. I live by the coast in the uk, highly recommend some lightweight ear pads for the blustery wind we have the ones that come from the back to the ears so they dont ruin your hair....just saying
