In Korean law the injured party files for divorce the reasons are adultery abandonment or maltreatment. SJK had proof and evidence it was the best thing he did to avoid further embarrassment and humiliation. SHK was already living away from him in China for two months and not wearing her wedding ring. When the divorce hit the news her agency and trolls started spreading malicious rumors about SJK. His lawyer made a statement that if they did not stop spreading these malicious lies they would divulge the real reason of the divorce. SHK quickly packed her bags and left for New York and kept a low profile for a year. The rest is history she definitely was not marriage material.

Acho que ele queria ser pai e ela não concordou. Ela não tem jeito maternal, é uma linda mulher uma estrela, no bom sentido. Ela poderia ser a mãe do filho dele e ele teria feito tudo por ela. Tbh, when the announcement of their engagement came out, my immediate reaction was ‘nooo, he isn’t strong enough and manly for her!’ I mean he is good but not for Queen SHK! She needs someone who would cherish, love and protect her! With whom she would feel like Queen! She isn’t ordinary girl, who would marry and give away her career and ‘identity’ to be someone’s wife or daughter in law! I have a feeling that drama with Park Bo Gum played major role in their conflict (not jealousy but like why did you do this drama for public view, you are married woman etc). He probably wanted her to change her career path slightly (which normally happens to married Korean actresses like Kim Tae Hee, Lee Bo Young, even Son Ye-Jin acting changed in her last drama just before marriage). But SHK worked so hard to be who she is now and I don’t believe marriage was something that she would consider as more important than herself! So in a way, I’m not surprised of their divorce, just they both got hurt through the process (especially SHK who was not prepared).

The reason why i hated him now 😡. Love means try to understand to each other, trust to each other and caring for each other. Every relationship has problems and it's the challenge for both to overcome. But it seems his love doesn't as deep as his mouth says. I'm not SHK fan, but deeply sorry for her for having such scumbag. Yes, we didn't know the real reason of their break-up, but at least ... We knew now, his love is such immature love.
