They are two of my favourite football channels indeed! Actually, if he had looked in the PL section of records of FM he would have found out the actual record for the lowest amount of points in an English top division season which is Stoke with 10p in 1889-90. But instead people mock Derby (which had a ridiculously low tally indeed) because the English choose to go for the Sky drivel of “Premier League records” instead of celebrating the amount of history the league actually has. He probably found out from random football articles as it s a super well known fact that s brought out every time the last placed team looks super bad

Still should be records based on number of games/points awarded (but 2 or 3 points for a a win can be retroactively calculated), not based on whether they are pre or after PL breaking away in 1992 as literally nothing changed football wise that year, would make more sense to have 22, 38 game and 46 game records instead of post-1992 ones

If you do this again next season, you could add a rule where if you correctly predict that a team will keep a clean sheet, you get 5 points. So that there is a reason to predict a team to not score

Also if you predict that a team will score more goals than they actually end up scoring, you lose 1 point for each extra goal This is so that no-one predicts unrealistically high scorelines, although that rarely happens
