I'm in the process of completing my Fire 1 certification, and my company was at a basement fire yesterday, and the Captain told me basement fires are tough. I looked up this video to get a better idea what he was explaining.

Yeah anything built after 1980-ish probably has floor trusses somewhere. Never trust a truss -above or below-
