The difference between Kevin and Steve is that Kevin knows exactly what HE wants and needs. Steve knows exactly what ALL of his clients need. Kevin thinks every scenario is just like his own scenario. Steve knows that everyone has different needs and wants and he knows how to cater to each specific person.

As a Captain on the Gulfstream G650, I will say that Kevin is very educated compared to most jet owners but doesn’t realize how things work in the large cabin world. Hello I don’t know Jack or too much about anything in regard to purchasing a corporate jet. However, if I decide to make my hub at Honolulu, HI and wanting to visit Tokyo or fly to LAX then Range in Distance would be playing the deciding factor. Now if I were to go completely bonkers and in my madness I’d decided to want more than just one corporate jet, what the hell, let’s just say three corporate jets, than both the maintenance crew and the pilots would appreciate the similarity of make and updated systems between all three corporate jets. The Gulfstreams G400, G700, and G800. Captain, would you say and approve of these three selections?

I think Kevin was putting the threshold of "luxury buy" in a different spot, where he uses his plane 100% for business, whereas those that have a dematerialized business, use it more as a lifestyle. But dodging taxes by never staying in a country more than 4 months, must be in a category on its own.

@@truehighs7845 Very few people have the money to buy a jet just for the lifestyle. It costs a lot of money to run those things and someone has to earn money to pay the bills. @@truehighs7845 He's operating from the perspective of being 'budget rich'. Like Steve said, if you're fine with things like stopping to refuel, small cabins, restricted luggage, etc. why wouldn't you just fly commercial? Companies don't want to have to stop to refuel, it can throw off schedules, it literally costs money in paying those execs and employees that are still being paid while being grounded (probably even being paid more for a business trip), you risk weather rolling in or runway traffic ramping up and getting grounded longer than expected, and most importantly it is a worse experience.

The reason he is so successful is because he spends so much time helping his clients re-align their expectations because of people like this guy who knows just enough to be dangerous when he spews his expensive learning experiences in aircraft ownership. Mr. Varsano listens carefully to his clients requirements and then uses his knowledge and years of experience to provide his clients a direct route to proper aircraft ownership by helping them avoiding making mistakes guys like this constantly make. I introduced myself, and was/am a nobody, but he was generous with his time and so respectful (I still have his metal business card). Steve is a class act in so many ways. When I saw the original meet Kevin critique, while I do think Kevin is fascinating and super smart, I thought the many ways Kevin showed disrespect was pure cringe. I wondered what Steve would have thought and was itching for a reaction video - and this didn’t disappoint. Steve V was gracious and professional - and could see a future client so reached out (as I’m sure Kevin wanted! Looking forward to following the Steve / Kevin story from now on.

The point of the fuel stop is so true. I fly a pc12 for a private company, we can go most places non stop(dependent on wind and sometimes we HAVE TO stop for fuel) but that flight will averaging around 4-5 hours and surprisingly most folks would rather do it non stop then do a fuel stop. I love that this guy is trying to pick you apart and you're helping him save money on his jet as a response 😀 Your setup is brilliant for being able to see the difference. As for fuel stops, the time spent descending, speed restrictions below 10k plus the hife time spent in the pattern, landing, taxi, waiting, refuelling then going through nost of that getting back up to altitide. Thats not even mentioning the additional fuel used on the ground and climbing back up plus the airport fees and the additional flight cycle on the aircraft as im assuming a hot refuel would be unlikely. The complaint about the take off and landing time, id like to know what his solution is for avoiding these phases of flight. This guy knows a fair amount about what they want specifically but maybe are at that dunning-kruger spike of their knowledge hence the video. Id love to buy a jet with you tho id want to be able to fly it too which clearly shows i have way more time than people who can afford to buy jets lol

I've come across a lot of people in my lifetime who try to shine you on. Steve is THE REAL DEAL. Anyone with a minimal intuition would surely conclude he oozes creditability. I would definitely buy a jet from this guy than anything from his customers

This is amazing, a review of himself, while also talking about the process and critique of two guys who know about planes and are use to selling and being on a plane regularly. I would be interested in seeing if Kevin would critique the second video or even better have him come over to London or by Zoom, since his plane will not be able to fly there due to mileage restrictions, to go through your studio and go through the selection process and see if he ends up with the same plane now compared to 2021 when he purchased his current plane, especially since his family and business is expanding.

Meet Kevin is the type of dude that has to be right no matter what. He's a legend in his own mind. Even when he is wrong, he tries to justify being wrong to prove he was kind of right. I wouldn't worry about it. He's not as popular as people think he is

Steve was very patient, he knows his stuff - I been passed his store some years ago - I live near london but looked nice from outside , once I did get my PPL license and flew for a few years, but never flown in a private yet and sadly now after age and life kicking never will - I always enjoy the many flight videos & mostly the business or small jet ones - however I’m pretty sure that most that can afford planes need the time & service service of business jet - but it’s a must they get the best info and prices/advice & pay what the cost is as when your rich it’s about time & service not money. Lucky them, a world I wish I had more insight in. The cabin, large screen & all stats is i’m sure a great aid to a plane broker service - keep up the good work Steve. ❤

We were drilling a well offshore the Lofoten islands in the Norwegian Sea, to get the drill crew back to Aberdeen, thats over 20 people, we could pay hotel bills for a night, and then commercial flights (it would take 2 separate flights and we would pay them an extra day) or we could lease a jet to take them directly from Bodo to Aberdeen, it was a no brainer, we leased the Jet got them home directly and saved money. Business needs drives decisions to lease or buy Jets, unless you are seriously wealthy (and if you are then you don't splash money in juvenile ways).
