Been using the "skirt fitting room" for decades. Wrap the waist band of bottoms around my neck, for approximate fit. I always try to wear a tank top. Easy on and off shoes, no laces. Snacks are essential. It is all about the planning.😃

Yes!!! My fellow thrift pro ; D The wrap waist band around neck is my go to tip! I forgot to include it in this video but I talk about it in my other 2 videos. We are of the same mind!!!!

I love op shopping.. Its been my cancer therapy. There's nothing like finding that 'exciting'. piece.... My wardrobe is a rainbow of colour🌈... My 1 rule is if I thrift 5 new items, then 5 old ones need to go out. Otherwise you just get more than you need. 😊

Great advice Jo! Having seen this video a wee while back, am rewatching your Op Shopping Masterclass on a grey autumn Sunday afternoon. Your point about not shopping seasonally is a winner. So many op shoppers only focus on the season at hand, bypassing some amazing items. Some of my best winter jackets and coats, ever, have been found in the darkest corner of op shops on a scotching summer's day! Buy 'em when you see 'em.

Heading off to 50% off at savers this Tuesday. Hoping to find just one or two gems (budget small) but I'll have to dig through so much fast fashion like Kmart, best n less, forever 21, etc..... It has doubled in stock from those labels. Hope some gems are to be found still Great video.

The Ramones was a real Ramones shirt i think (sold by a record shop, for example, I should say) Go back, sell.it to a fan. (Maybe would only get a few dollars so , no. I love making those t-shirts into fringed singlets.

Unsure in some towns it is op shopping anymore. The main ones have turned into more of a boutique style. Vinnie’s is dearer and I don’t buy much there anymore due to being priced out for what it is. The church op shops are the best for a bargain. But saying that, if I love it, I do spend the money on it.

@@THEJODEDESAESTHETIC , I brought a boohoo jacket from Red Cross for $50 brand new. Absolutely brand new and so soft. I looked at cost of new coats I liked, up to $180. So some exceptions. I find all my BEMe and autograph mainly at the op shops.

I did just thrift 3 pairs of vintage Levis from the Men's section, I also find they fit better than women's

Men's fit me great, too. Just have toward that the pickets aren't too low and sliding off your butt or down a thigh. Especially more modern jeans, the look for men is often the lower pocket. Whilst they have the desired lower "V" from the back of the waist band the pickets are often also lowered. Sometimes, depending on the wash, you can move the pockets.
