Great job crunching numbers for a base line, but as you say the amount of combinations generated by situation and play style can effective change any base line setup. e.g. I have the ppz with the "10% refill on kill" mag with the "10 dmg, slower fire when still" as my close quarters is mostly to prevent mobs over running, can stop a huge hoard and I'm gonna have to strafe a bit anyway.

Great video dude! I prefer full weak point dmg, Im doing with my kramer between 980 and 1080 dmg per shot and when you play in extreme or insane if you dont have a recon with you all bullet counts. In my opinion if you have good aim is better more dmg per bullet than shoot more bullets for the same amount of dmg. If you take recon blue core + gunner blue +doc blue all with the perk thing with 15%+ dmg+kramer with boosted flash hider (+40%) + hybrid sight (+20%) You have agun with 270% weak point dmg and afeter you kill someone 310% weakpoint dmg. Easy math 215dmg from kramer +20% dmg of down & out +overwhelming fire combo= 258 now take this and hit some xeno in the head and tada you have 258 *3.1 (310% weak point dmg)= 799.8 aprox. to 800 for easy math. And now add the extra dmg the xeno recevies for your perk focus fire +10% extra dmg received = 880 of weak point dmg. To this number add all your team modifications like +% dmg deal or extra fire rate. And remember guys every perk that says the enemy take more dmg is better because all of your team members gain this dmg normally vs big xenos is more profitable.

The older I get, the slower my aiming becomes. But with age comes patience and being calmer. Therefor, I pick the shotgun for anything that comes close and make short work of it. Assault rifles are for the youngsters out there with better aim.

*You are the Weapon ;)* *And Yup, I am old (relatively = 56 Years) too, and I prefer the "Area of Effect Weapons", like Grenade Launcher, Flame-Weapons, or the AOE-Skills, to anger the Enemies before I kill them ;)* *The only Shotgun, I would prefer, must have much Ammo (Magazine too) and shoot fast and far, because I hate it that Aliens want to sit on my Lap ;)*

play what suits you best. personally i like stumble power and acuracy (not snipers) but different builds different players etc, so my end conclusion is there is no right way (manny wrong ways) to play. just have fun with it :)

Yeah, even with the new season 4 attachment (Assault Brake Muzzle) and Pathogen attachment (Compound Mag), Plasma still king baby! ☝😆👍 Although they're getting closer to the Plasma. 😋

I can definitely do Handguns, but shotguns are a whole other story since they have pellets and pellet spread. The calculated DPS on those would be in a perfect scenario where every pellet hits at optimal range. Also, I'd have to do a whole new video since this vid was made before any balance updates. The Plasma is no longer king. 😕

Forgot one very important variable at the math part, called latency. While you may not feel it cos most likely 90% the players you play with are Americans, not everyone that play the game are Americans (me for example) and joining a lobby in which the host plays from japan for example, can make a cake walk mission like 1-1 an absolute nightmare cos your shots have delay to land, your dodges are basically useless and so on and on. in any case, sometimes l shot 10 bullets on a static enemy, and becos my firerate is too high, it just land like 3 or 4. Regardless, great video, very informative

Thanks! Indeed, I do not take into account Latency or Accuracy cause that would cause to many variables. These are DPS calculations if everything is perfect. Also, I'm not American. 😋

I think this is a great example that shows you can't trust statistics. The numbers show the plasma rifle as being the best assault rifle, but NO one takes the plasma rifle into Insane. At that difficulty. you NEED a gun that hits hard and fast, and the plasma rifle just doesn't do that - whilst it has a high magazine and fast fire rate, the damage it does per shot is just too low to compensate against guns like the Kramer, which although is much slower, hits twice as hard.

Whatcha talking about, I take it into Insane. 😋 But, yeah. You're kinda right. If we look at the Kramer and its potential to kill a runner in 3 Crits on Insane, the Kramer has the lowest time-to-kill. Where as the Plasma Rifle needs 7 Crits to kill. So you're gonna kill mobs faster with the Kramer, but when it comes down to the bigger targets (Drones, Warriors,...) the Plasma Rifle will out DPS the Kramer since the Kramer has a longer Reload Time, less ammo per clip and slower rate of fire. I've also played on Extreme with the Inoxerable Warrior one time (me with the Plasma and him with the Kramer), we both did more than a million damage each and he was playing more agressive than I did (which also explained why he did ~100k more damage than me at the end.).

@@Psyqhical :D I always find the damage charts at the end don't tell the true story - e.g. like you say, if someone plays more aggressive then sure they will do more damage, but they will also probably take more damage as a consequence, and when you play on Extreme/Insane, you can't really afford to drop as mobs will pounce on anyone reviving in an instant.

I ran the Plasma in intense and above with my recon.with laser sight, red is dead and a bunch of crit and firerate mods. It shreds xenos without reloading XD

Guys, can't you really see that the numbers in this game are completely wrong? The numbers don't add up. Do a simple test and see how much damage your weapons do without perks and upgrades, and then add a perk that increases damage by 20%. The results will be senseless. The maths is simple, if a weapon deals 100 damage, 20 percent more should be 120 points of damage. In this game it will come out 114 or some other nonsense value. I've tested this many times, the more modifiers, the more bullshit is displayed on the screen. Trust me on this. Either the developers designed something wrong or they thought nobody would check the numbers that are displayed above the enemies.

Great job with the math, many thanks! Were the rifles compared fully upgraded or basic? Type 88 receives only 10% Effective Range and 5% Fire Rate increase for first 3 levels vs. Plasma Rifle 10% Reload Speed and 5% Fire Rate

Depends. Pump Shotty is a solid choice for any class. Auto Shotgun for Gunner. Heirloom for Tech, Doc and Recon.

Laser Sight Proccs Red Is Dead on your Recon, giving your entire team 10% extra damage. That shit improves your damage for free much better than the Red Dot Sight can. 😋

Not anymore. This vid was made before any balance updates and better attachments. They have buffed weapons instead if nerfing the Plasma and gave other rifles better attachments. 🤣 Now it's the Heavy Assault with Assault Brake, Compound Magazine and Laser Sight.
