What does it take to be a prison officer?

I'm ex prisoner my self and my upmost respect for officers most of the new generation of prison officers are more human and understanding as the old school (not many left now) was really rough and not to be messed around with. But I have to say it's a really tough job and respect for the officers who stick it out. Alot of convicted prisoners have outside problems that effect them on the inside and it's the officers that have to deal with it. Hats off to those officers.

I've been in most jails in Ireland and have met some tough officers both also some very kind respectable ones who care n understand what prisoners are going Tru .I often had laugh with them when feeling off and banged out my door tinking and laughing to myself when I really was feeling down.hats off is rite to most officers iv met in my life they're kind nice and respect full.😎👌👌

It’s a hard job not only dealing with the violence but watching inmates self harm suicide ect , not for the faint hearted I’ve met some good officers who I’d go for a pint with 👍🏻

To be a prison officer you would have to be in third dimension consciousness as a person above this level consciousness would have the awareness that punishing people is fighting fire with fire and that rehabilitation is an illusion and woudnt do such a job in the first place as they are about loving all that is and helping people on earth not trying to feed ones own false sense of superiority over another
