@efil4kizum put it this way...my first 8 yrs there were filled with miles. Never had to beg for Miles, never sat all weekend or 2-6 hours in-between loads. I am a million miler, never refused a load, no accidents, no tickets (of any kind). I had all length of runs. A good run was 400 miles, then sit. Lots of sitting in between loads every weekend off (not at home neither). I read an article in a trucking magazine that OTR accounts were not profitable. I'd come off hometime ready for a load (sitting ready in my truck) and not get a load for a day or two. I was spending waaay to much with all that sitting/idle time. 1600 miles a week isn't crap. I left at the end of July 2024

If this was the trip from Owensboro KY to Jackson TN, you sure did take the long way around. I travel between the two at least monthly. From Owensboro take I-169 south to Bowling Green. Then I-65 south to Nashville, then take I-40 west to Jackson. BTW, we really enjoy being with you on your travels, seeing the country through your eyes.

@@TheJoyofTrucking HWY 155 / Briley PKWY circumvents the Nashville area and joins into I-40 well west of Nashville proper, but it’s all good. I my self will drive 100 mies out of my way to avails Atlanta. If I never drive through Atlanta again, it’ll be too soon.
