Appears alright and I want to like some of their pistols, although I've heard way too many stories about kimbers malfunctioning and not very good quality overall. The last thing one needs is a pistol or any gun for that matter that malfunctions.

I remember the stories about the Kimber Solo. Terrible QC problems and many malfunctions. I'd see them at my local gun store for sale used all the time.

Gotta say I expected the CDS9 to be a porker compared to the polymer micros since it is all metal. I was very surprised to find out that the CDS9 is only 3oz heavier than a Hellcat OSP. Definitely gonna check this one out when I see it. Thanks for the review and information! KYGUNCO is top notch in my book.

I don't like the fact that a standard mag looks like an extended mag. Wish they would have made the grip longer with a more flush fit mag

There is a reason for this - Some customers want the smallest package possible for concealed carry, and Kimber realizes this, which is why they are also making a flush fit 10rnd mag for this gun.

a bit of take up, breaks at 90 degrees. no creep really. reset is a little past 90 or is on 90

Why keep the slide back like a jackass, show the damn gun. Standing there like a goofey, present the weapon side profile in firing position so we can see what it looks like with the red dot attached

One of the ugliest pistols I've ever seen. Looks like it copied from everything and just put something together. Like a SA hellcat slide with an older CZ and aftermarket looking magazine extensions. I know that's not the case but ugh. Would I shoot it? of course. Would I buy a Kimber? unlikely.
