I normally like your stuff, but this is - to quote one of Taylor’s songs “mean!”. I don’t know while everyone likes to depict Taylor as a dumb blonde, or a psycho. She’s a great songwriter, and this is just a good old fashioned catchy tune, great to dance to, and no swearing or anything. It's just plain fun, and has a great message. Whether Taylor writes about love, loss or just ignoring all those people who talk bad about you, they’re always great quality songs. Leave her the hell alone!

Seeing the state of people like Miley Cyrus who was good, but it now a total mess, I'd rather have Taylor writing about relationships than swearing her head off like some rap artist and being a bad example. Writing has been proved to be a great way for some people to express their emotions that they sometime find difficult to deal with. Bart Baker has his moments, I think he might be improving a bit again now... He went through a string of parodies that were incredibly bitchy and weren't lyrically that good... In isolation I can still have a bit of a laugh at it, I'm fine with having a laugh about silly stuff popstars do, but he went a bit far with it at times... I prefer Key of Awesome because they are usually more goofy about everything, it doesn't feel as negative... While I appreciated this parody, I do hope they don't go too far towards the Bart Baker formula of bitching about the artists to the tune of one of their songs... I mean we already have Bart Baker, that's enough for me lol (Not saying that his formula is totally bad, it's just not something I enjoy too much, especially if I experience it on a regular basis).

I think the reason why this was as not funny as the others is that Taylor's video is literally her making fun of herself (if you didn't get that the whole song is about her shaking off the hate cause she doesn't care then listen to it again) so all the jokes people usually make about taylor (like boyfriends, surprised face...) weren't funny cause literally everyone so damn tired of that cause it's not funny anymore a) cause making fun of someone for writing about their feelings is pretty immature and b) taylor is slaying while everyone's making fun of her. this is like a parody of a parody. this is making fun of taylor for things she laughs at herself. you shouldn't have done a parody or just thought it through and maybe that would have been better x

Taylor Swift is an artist whose music is written so that it appeals to vulnerable/bullied (predominantly female) teens (although not exclusive to this niche, obviously), and a song that is about "shaking off" the haters doesn't necessarily send out a bad message to her fanbase. Not all songs are a reflection of the artist, but rather the persona they adopt in the market. Taylor Swift's image is made so that she appeals to who she appeals to because her image is made to look like she is a celebrity who is in touch and cares about her fans. Every now and then her label produces songs like "Mean" and "Shake It Off" to reinforce the relatable image that Taylor Swift is just like us, in that she's capable of being wounded and bouncing back.

I honestly agree with this parody. I understand when people get hurt from relationships, but to dedicate a whole entire album to someone and make it so obvious that its about that person is kinda insulting. Everyone writes songs about past relationships but no one makes it this obvious. I cant look at her as this innocent little angel because all of her songs have so much wrath and their sole purposes is to get revenge on that person by publicizing it. I mean have you heard that song "Better Than Revenge"? That song was so insulting on so many levels. But even if there wasn't that interview, the song lyrics make it 100% clear that she is talking about herself, addressing the very specific things that the tabloids very specifically say about her.
