I thought i was the only one who got that feeling from The Killers !! They really deserve more promotion tbh they have the pontential to become bigger, the passion in their songs and the meanful lyircs can touch your heart in ways that Queen do to me too. Also what I love about Brandon Flowers the most is that he seems to be pretty sensitive but isn't afraid of touching certain subjects, on the album Wonderful Wonderful there is alot of mental health talk since he dedicated and wrote songs for her wife who is mentally ill, and complemented it with such a sound that made you /feel/.
@99certain454 жыл бұрын
I can understand why some people might put their music on the same level, since both bands have made "big music" nevertheless, they are still fundamentally different bands. The Killers are way more introspective, refined, and glamorous in their presentation. Queen takes towards a more wild sound. This does not put down The Killers in any way, since I'd say they're pretty well cemented as one of the great bands of the 21st century. However, there is only one group alive that can really be directly compared with Queen, and that band is Muse... kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZethpSba6ime7s

My last gal I had I nick named her "My little atom Bomb" due to her willpower and grit. She never met anyone who believed in her and pushed her to better herself until she found me. We pushed each other and soon found ourselves in the best shape of our lives and in promising careers. Time went by and due to complications I had to end that powerful bond that we had. I found this song after the fact. It's bittersweet but it makes me remember what we did for one another. You'll always have a place in my heart my little atom bomb. Hope you keep pushing yourself.

This is one of my favourite songs ever, I lost my own Miss Atomic Bomb not much time ago, we had 7 years of friendship and then three years of relationship, then it all ended, and they don't rly talk to me anymore. I had cried in my bed listening to this song and remembering all, I blamed myself for all, but thanks to my friends and therapy now I know it wasn't all my fault. I left them and now i am far far away, and I know for a fact that now that I am gone, they miss me, but they will never reach out, maybe not without therapy (which I know they are not seeking). Deep down I know it was the wrong place and the wrong time, but like this songs says, we were innocent and young. I remember our relationship with the same heat as this song describe it, with the same light and nostalgia. But like someone else here says, I refuse to become the old man in the end of the song, I am trying to move on. Thank you, The Killers, for helping me to let out feelings I struggle with with your songs.

This song makes me think of a girlfriend that I had for almost two years. She broke up with me and within a week had a new boyfriend. I, on the other hand, had emotional scars and went to bed every night for the next three months feeling like everything was my fault. I know now that it wasn't all my fault, and I know for a fact that she misses me and regrets breaking up with me. I'm not going back though, I've finally accepted that I don't need MAB anymore.

I am a Killers fan but most of their songs are just takes of songs from the 80's and 90's. I remember naming all the songs they copied when I listened to Sam's Town for the first time. Maybe that I why I like that album so much. This song really takes a strong feel, parts of the melody and note structure from Alphaville's Forever Young.

this, my favorite song, makes me think so much of my favorite book series, the his dark materials trilogy. so many weird tie-ins. (love, innocence, fate, dust, the dagger, the bomb, truth/lies, survival, the "wrong place at the wrong time", "you're gonna miss me when I'm gone...")

In comments sections of old music videos, there are always people who keep spouting the same "I miss the old days when music was actually music" "the music of today's generation sucks" "music is dead", I just wonder if these people are even aware of this magnificent band's existence. Not only this, but Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Arcade Fire, and hell, plenty of other artists outside the mainstream. It's like they only listened to generic pop or Nicki Minaj once and are convinced that is the only form of music nowadays. That's just pure ignorance, and that makes me really sad.

There are TONS of artists out there that aren't recognized and I agree with you "I miss the old days" like wtf? In every year, there are a lots of song who are of the same genres and such. It's not like one generation is only about those songs about asses, sex and whatever.

You were standing with your girlfriends in the street Falling back on forever I wonder what you came to be I was new in town, the boy with the eager eyes I never was a quitter Oblivious to schoolgirls' lies And when I look back on those neon nights The leather scene, the passage right I feel the heat, I see the light Of Miss Atomic Bomb Making out we've got the radio on You're gonna miss me when I'm gone You're gonna miss me when I'm gone Racing shadows in the moonlight Through the desert on a hot night And for a second there we'd won Yeah we were innocent and young Cast out of the night, well you've got a foolish heart So you took your place but the fall from grace was the hardest part It feels just like a dagger buried deep in your back You run for cover but you can't escape the second attack Your soul was innocent, she kissed him, she painted it black You shoulda' seen your little face, burnin' for love Holding on for your life Well all that I wanted was a little touch, a little tenderness and truth I didn't ask for much, no Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time... Miss Atomic Bomb Making out we've got the radio on You're gonna miss me when I'm gone You're gonna miss me when I'm gone Racing shadows in the moonlight And taking chances on a hot night And for a second there we won Yeah we were innocent and young The dust cloud has settled, and my eyes are clear But sometimes in dreams of impact I still hear Miss Atomic Bomb I'm standing here Sweat on my skin And this love that I've cradled, is wearing thin But I'm standing here And you're too late Your shockwave whisper, it sealed your fate It's a proving ground And you took a chance On a losing game But you can't survive When you want it all There's another side
