Quick note guys: if you're making this, find a can that isn't galvanized steel and safely burn off any inside plastic coating. We unfortunately didn't do a good job showing this process in the video, but we want you to stay safe!

If you can find a square relatively larger container for the bottom part of the barbecue , you could fill it up with sand , attach the barbecue to the sand bed and it should retain heat a bit more , not the best solution but with limited supply its possible

Another little tip to go along with this, The yellow tin snips obviously do the job, but, I believe the red handle version may have a better angle for cutting the can. Also if you don't fully cut (squeeze the handle on the shears all the way together) you don't usually create the serrated edges. Cool little project though!

you could also turn that into a self feeding wood stove by removing part of the side of the can in a half moon shape.

you can also drill holes in the bottom that the coals lay on so that way air goes up and through them!

Maybe drill holes on the sides for ventilation. From bottom, ashes might fall out onto surface of a table.

This is a health hazard!!! All Cans have a plastic liner inside them to keep the can from directly touching the food. If you don't flair that plastic off(which releases fumes that are also super toxic) you are just melting plastic onto your food.

The aluminum vapors may be harmful too, some studies have linked them to Alzheimer's. Although, I don't think it's been definitively proven yet.
