It has changed a lot. Many stalls went about 10-15 years ago and they have blocked many roads because of the Mini Holland scheme. It makes me wonder how emergency services access those who desperately need it.

I grew up in Ringwood rd during the Eighties and early nineties. Walthamstow is an absolute dump just like all of London. Full of gangs. There's no sense of community anymore. Most of the original Londoners have either passed away or moved to a different area. Most of the pubs have closed. A sign of the times eh?
@Peacefully-Happy-865 жыл бұрын
Thanks for uploading, this brings back memories of my childhood as my parents used to take me there in the 90's. thankyou

@@Zlervo you mean WAS a nice place. I used to walk up and down there as a teen during the evening with my friends. I wouldn't dream of walking the streets as an adult now. Too many scumbags looking for a victim to mug or attack just for the thrill of it!.

@@carphunter5042 Hello again mate. Yes it's such a shame. I have a 16 year old daughter and I'm glad she's far away from London. The place I grew up in is sadly no more. The sense of community spirit is non existent. I remember back in the late 80's early 90's, while my mum worked in Woolworths, every Xmas they would have a work's party in store and she would bring me and my younger brother along. We would take our pocket money with us and rummage around the whole store looking at toys and videos. I'll never forget that in 1990, my mum's manager was a lovely fella called Mr Lawrence. He noticed me looking at a Hornby trainset and asked if I wanted it. I replied Yes but said I couldn't afford it. He said santa might bring it to me as long as I'm good and listen to my mum. That Christmas I got my trainset and my brother got a Nintendo Game boy. Years later as an adult, my mum said that Mr Lawrence actually bought those gifts for us. I actually teared up as I only met this nice man once in my life and he had the heart and passion to do such a lovely thing for me and my brother. You wouldn't get that now in today's society and culture. Which business would have an Xmas do in store where you could bring your family along and be treated so nicely?. RIP to such a wonderful era. Take my friend and look after your family.

Walthamstow High Street was the centre of my world throughout the 70's and 80's (and some of the 90's). This was my street, my market, my kingdom. I went away over 20 years ago, when it started becoming a junkyard. Popped back last year to check on the place....... Oh what a shit hole it's become because of pussies in "gangs" of little boys looking up to other little boys. You are just making it a fucked up place for the majority of the decent folk who want to live the one life they have in peace. Is anybody still there from the 70's or 80's?
