Your home is so beautiful. So gonna be honest I’ve tried every year to make a neutral Christmas but my husband is such a big kid at heart . He’s so set on the traditional colors and I try to change his mind but he wins. After seeing your home yes you pointed out it’s for your kids but it just feels so magical that even adults can enjoy it . I think you convinced me not to even fight with my husband over new colors . My now 18-year-old (he’s just enlisted in the Australian Defense Force) will still sit with me when “The Polar Express” comes on :) Each Xmas from when he was little, we would decorate the house, and then I would make him a hot chocolate with marshmallows and we’d watch “The Polar Express”. He still remembers the bell I bought him one Christmas, just like in the movie. So, yes, making those memories while you can is super important. Before too long, the babies grow and become young adults, and we just hope they are inundated with special memories and traditions that they treasure and pass on to their offspring and loved ones. I like the Norman Rockwell prints. I’m from Massachusetts and he lived here, in Stockbridge. He was also a favorite artist of my mother’s, who passed away many years ago, at a young age. Seeing them is very nostalgic, for me.
