Haven't really thought to much into it, without scratching the surface I'm going with the initial gut feeling I got and sticking the simplistic view I received. Possibly no story in the music video at all, it's just an interpretation of the lyrics?? Idk they really didn't give us much hey haha

apoxapex good call. yep I like the dire straits for cash concept. The whole model thing tripped me and I couldn't relate that to the breakup at the start. But now you've said that I guess it's a possible description on how we can jump in to the first thing that comes along that looks like it will be great for you but get badly burnt by hasty decisions when we're feeling down about ourselves. it just seemed like a an extremely abstract video....but damn what a song! ironically it brings back memories of better times. fuck I love music

I like to think of it as due to the bad relationship she was in she changed in a bad way and through her confusion found herself deep in that kinda like artificial, disgusting modelling business or whatever and was taken over by them because at the end of the video you can see her swept away and a completely different person from before and she's frozen like the rest of them.

Also at the end when she's frozen in the chair, the true nature of the business comes out (all the girls are super mean, the boss is crazy, they're fighting for money, there's heaps of kale everywhere with the models eating the kale (which is probably a testament to the idea that models starve themselves) and there's also a shot of two models with a mouth full of cigarettes) which is then why at the end a single tear falls down likely symbolic of her regret and probably relevant to the lyric of "I'll blame you for changing me" because it's a way of projecting the bad change on to the person who broke her
