God, I hate the fact we’re essentially forced to let go of a piece of history because corporates don’t like us enjoying old things. Black Ops 2 is my all-time favorite CoD. Were not forced people will continue to make custom clients for old cods. just because Activision keeps sending cease and desist letters doesnt mean these custom clients and fan made remasters will stop quite the opposite in fact the actions Activision has taken have caused people to get angry and upset which i think will ultimately cause people to rebal and double down on recreations and custom clients for old cods and most importantly devs should not comply with the cease and desist letters from Activision as they need a wake up call that some people arent gonna back down that easily. this isnt the end its only just the beginning

Man this game is still goated to this day. MSMC, AN-94, PDW, the 4-burst AR (M4A1 I think?), Ballista, DSR, KSG, etc were all so much fun to use. I remember grinding getting diamond shotguns, SMGs, and snipers on PS3 back in the day, not even mentioning the zombies maps. Such a good game.

Got so pissed because my friend and I were just getting into xLabs for MW2 and really really enjoying playing it I never had the privilege of experiencing that game in its prime online, but even with the one night I played it was more fun i had than the entirety of MWII (2022) Activision was just wrong for the execution of these clients.

IW4x still works fine. It was originally designed to be decentralized, and so it has a fallback node system that steps in to display the server list if the master server goes offline. You need to run the game without the XLabs launcher.

SM2 was literally a heavily modified Modern Warfare Black Ops mix gaining attention which Activision would have liked to have themselves. But they just don't deliver.

I think the reason why activision closed closed clients was because they played the game in a modded way. But there is no such thing in plutonium (except servers)

You actually run at 102.5% speed with the MSMC but oppose to the combat knife (100%) but you can run for longer before having to walk (The ballistic knife is 107%) tho I don’t remember if you run for longer with them similarly to the combat knife
