Walked this path many times to La Caleta ❤️ It’s got busier & busier. Loved the days when the staff at Del Duque Beach cafe wore the straw boaters with the little wooden carts set out. Thank you for taking us today, we will be seeing you soon!

Apparently the castle/mantion belongs or belonged to Rafael Puig Lluvina who is responsible for building a large part of Playa de las Americas in 1960s

The piles of stones are called Cairns…. Used to be used to mark out burial grounds.or to guide travellers. I think that the reason the council knock them down is when they have heavy rain storms it runs off the mountains and down the Wadi into the sea. If the Cairns are there they could cause serious flooding

The stone cairns mark a place or can be as a memorial (an object to make people remember something or someone). I built one many years ago in memory of my Dad who spent many happy holidays there with my Mum.

Iv stayed at the Rui palace 5 times absolutely amazing value for money the hotel is spotless and food is amazing I would definitely recommend it I’ll be there in june 28 hopefully I’ll see you doing a video

These piling of stones is sometimes done as a memorial to someone who has passed. You see them quite a lot on yoga/mindfulness cards and sites. Also balancing the stones using a centre line for gravity, can almost defy physics when you see them.
