Kristian did you ever watch the 2nd Season of The Rings of Power? I ask because you stated that it was effectively a multiverse story. No, the entire Rings of Power series (both seasons of course) is the absolute prequel to the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies. I don't want to spoil anything, but it absolutely detail the origins of key figures that are the building blocks of what happens in the later era. Your comment about the Rings of Power being from a different or alternate universe would be like someone saying Darth Sidious and everything he had done in the Prequels had no bearings on the Original or Sequel trilogies. No, he and his actions are paramount to all of the trilogies (for good or ill regarding the Rise of Skywalker). The Rings of Power is like the High Republic, Old Republic building blocks that forms the later Star Wars stories. My man, be easy on the Rings of Power critiques. Whether the series or storytelling is subpar to you or not, it definitely has a plot and storyline that fits and explain the lore of Lord of the Rings. Hope you beat that virus soon man. No one is talking about The Agency on Showtime/Paramount. It had 5.1 million views and got renewed for season 2 a couple days after its premiere. The season finale of The Penguin only had 2.1 million views for comparison. The show stars Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, and Jeffrey Wright. Highly recommended.

I'd love to see Chris Evans come back as Captain America. Obviously, he'll likely be a variant of some kind. I can't imagine he'll still be old. Not unless something happens that ages him backwards, but I doubt it. Whatever Marvel does with him, I hope he isn't that Hydra version I hear about. That wouldn't make sense. Steve Rogers is too good of a person and too smart to be easily brainwashed by an organization like that. Although, I can't deny it'd be interesting to see. At some point, I'd like to see a Disney+ series that takes place during the mission where Cap was bringing the infinity stones back to their rightful timelines. That must've been quite an adventure in itself. I want to see how his interaction with Red Skull went and how he built that life with Peggy. I hope it happens. As for Roxy's TV picks, I watched the entire run of Superman & Lois and I loved it, so I'm all set there, but Silo is the only other one I'm interested in. I like Jamie Foxx, but anything that promotes religion is a very hard pass for me.

I don’t have any faith in Star Wars right now, but I will say I am loving skeleton crew and I was absolutely certain I’d hate that show. Not saying Star Wars is back, even book of boba Fett had a couple good episodes, but they do hit the broad side of the barn sometimes. How has nothing really been done to the people running Lucasfilm? Get KK out of there. Filoni outta there. I’ve been playing Jedi survivor games and goddamn it’s kinda sad that two video games are vastly better than most of the stuff they’ve put out since Rogue One.

Chadwick Boseman died (he was going to be the face of the MCU) covid happened which delayed their entire slate and shows that were in production(Kang Dynasty was supposed to be last April and Secret Wars was originally supposed to release 5 months ago) then the actors and writers went on strike and as if that wasn't enough, the Jonathan Majors situation happened. What do you want them to do? they had to change all their plans and they decided to go back to what works. It just so happens that Multiverse gives you the flexibility

Out of all my beloved IPs/Franchises, Star Wars is the one I am LEAST interested in seeing continue to release movies. They failed considerably with the sequel trilogy by not using the Han, Luke and Leia like they should have. Even though I liked Mandalorian and Ahsoka, it is my firm belief that Star Wars should not make any stories (movies, tv, games, books, etc.) past Return of the Jedi. Star Wars' narrative future lies in the "in universe" past, stories set during the High Republic or the Old Republic are their best bet, in my opinion. They've got to remove themselves as far as possible from the time period of the sequels. I enjoyed the sequels fine, but I've never rewatched any of them after seeing them in theaters, they just totally misused the original trio of heroes and misused the new trio of heroes, plus added in so many unnecessary side plots that went nowhere, that there's o point in watching them for me. Lucasfilm tv/film needs to be gutted from the ground up and honestly, if they want a big win with fans, hen they should retcon the sequel trilogy and go make the original book sequels we already had and just recast Luke, Leia and company for them, let Mark Hamill voice a droid or bad guy or something.
