सचमुच ही महाराजा गंगा सिंह जी अपने समय के अद्भुत शासक थे, उनके इस महान कार्य के लिए गंगानगर की जनता आज भी उन्हें नमन करती है। अभी हाल ही गंगानगर के पूर्व जिला कलेक्टर महावीर प्रसाद वर्मा जी के प्रयासों तथा स्थानीय जनता के सहयोग से गंगासिंह जी के भव्य स्मारक का निर्माण शिवपुर हैड (जहां 26 अक्टूबर 1927 को लॉर्ड इरविन द्वारा इस नहर का उद्घाटन किया गया था) पर किया गया है, जिसका उद्घाटन 13 अक्तूबर 2022 को महाराजा गंगा सिंह जी की 142 वीं जयंती के अवसर पर किया गया था।

Sir this was the need of that time and was also beneficial in controlling floods in sultej basin. Their is no problem in giving water to our Rajasthani brothers. The problem is water distribution after 1970's.At that time Punjab was given 18 lac acre cusec m, haryana 14 lac acre cusec m and Rajasthan 10-12 lac acre cusec. Even Ravi which near Jammu and pathankot was also distributed to Rajasthan. Now water has deplete significantly Punjab share has decrease from 18 to 12 cusec but share of haryana and rajasthan is same which is acc to 1970 ' s estimation. So their is an urgent need of reassesment of water and should be given accurately so to stop desertification of Punjab as groundwater has gone to 100 feet or more and canal system has collapsed due to deficient of water.

शिवपुर हैड, श्री गंगानगर पर 26 अक्टूबर 1927 को गंगनहर के उद्धघाटन समारोह में महाराजा गंगासिंह का भाषण :- "आज मेरे जीवन की हार्दिक इच्छा पूरी होने पर सर्वशक्तिमान को दिल की गहराईयों से धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूँ कि उसने मेरी रियासत की भूमि को सिंचाई का वरदान दिया है। इस नहर के आने से मेरी रियासत का बड़ा क्षेत्र सिंचाई सुविधा से जुड़ेगा। आज पानी निर्जन इलाके में व्यर्थ बहाने के लिये नहीं छोड़ा गया, बल्कि इसलिये छोड़ा गया है कि आने वाले समय में यह इलाका आबाद होगा। इस इलाके का हर आदमी यह इंतजार कर रहा है कि नहर का पानी उसके खेत तक पहुंचे ताकि वह सिंचाई और बिजाई कर सकें। मेरा यह प्रयास रहेगा कि पुराने हिन्दू राजाओं के आदर्श को बनाये रखूं। आदर्श राजा वह होता है जो प्रजा को खुश रखे, उसे सभी सुविधाएं दे और उसकी रक्षा करें। मेरे पूर्वजों और बड़ों ने मुझे यही सिखाया कि राजा रहते हुये अपने लिये नहीं प्रजा के लिये जीना है । मेरी सबसे बड़ी आकांशा यही है कि जनता की आशाओं व अभिलाषाओं को पूरा कर सकूं। यही मेरा सबसे बड़ा कर्तव्य और इनाम है। आज शिवपुर हैड पर जल प्रवाह के लिये नहर के गेट खोलकर महामहिम वायसराय लॉर्ड इरविन ने मेरी प्रजा में आशा और विश्वास की ज्योति जलाई है।"

Sisters of Mahnoor Mahnoor’s sister Hamna Sabir turned 18 on January 09, 2016. The very first tax return Hamna filed (on May 08, 2018) for the year 2017 shows that she had no physical assets. She possessed only one bank account and some cash. Hamna’s sister Mahnoor, older by two years and five months, had become a billionaire by 2017. Both of them had no source of income. Both have the same parents. How Mahnoor alone suddenly gained dozens of plots and lands in DHA was an unresolved mystery till late 2018. On December 17, 2018, Hamna submitted her returns for 2018 and declared only one residential plot in sector Z of Phase 7, one commercial plot in sector C of Phase 7 of DHA Lahore, and a plot of 115 Kanal land in Mauza Jhalkay Lahore. This year, she also declared 15,000 shares in La Residence (Pvt) Ltd and became its Chief Executive. Her bank balance was Rs 3,368,625 whereas she has cash of Rs 247,125. Though daughter to the same parents, Hamna continued to have the same assets in the years 2019, 2020, and even 2021 whereas her elder sister Mahnoor not only became a billionaire but her businesses expanded across Pakistan and she started living in and running a business in the UAE. The very first tax return for Aqaba Sabir, 19, third of the four sisters, was submitted on October 22, 2018, when she was 15, for the year 2017 when her age was 14. Her 2017 tax returns disclosed that in 2016 she had no assets but in 2017 she received three properties as gifts. These properties included one four-marla plot and one eight-marla plot both in sector C, and one eight-marla plot in sector A - all commercial plots in phase 7 of DHA Lahore. In her tax returns for the year 2018, it was declared that while retaining three commercial properties declared the past year, she had also purchased eight new one-Kanal plots in LDA City (A934 to A941) Lahore, and one two-Kanal plot in DHA (only given address: 84-W, DHA). This year, she also declared 14990 shares in LA Residence Pvt Ltd. In 2019, when she was 16, it was declared in her tax returns that she had sold her eight-marla commercial plot in sector C of DHA phase 7 for Rs 40 million. She purchased this plot a few months back for Rs 5.6 million and hence made a profit of Rs 30.4 million in this duration. It was declared that she gifted this Rs 40 million money received through the sale of the plot to her mother. Selling this plot and gifting the sale amount resulted in a decrease in her assets. Afterward, her assets remained the same in tax returns for the years 2020 and 2021. (The market value of these assets are same as are mentioned with the assets of other persons in the same areas in this story) A minor Tax returns of a minor, 12, the youngest of the three sisters of Mahnoor (name not printed because of her status as a minor), were first submitted on October 22, 2018, when her age was eight.
