I had visited this place in 1968 December, while travelling with my Cousin's family by car from Calcutta to Kanpur. The surrounding water was covered completely by green algae. On inquiry was told that a Sanyasee was prevented from taking a bath in the water. He cursed it. After that it has been green. Now I am happy to see the water is clear. Suspended from the dome was a metal structure. When observed from each of the 64 arches it looks different. From 'moon and star' to a 'monkey and child'. It was truly intriguing. My respect to Sher Shah Suri for his creation of the Grand Trunk Road and many other amenities. 🙏 Mangalore, Karnataka.

मेरी सोच मे बिहार की छवी सिर्फ देहाती राज्य, अनपढ लोग, गरीबी, खेतीबाडी का इलाका, और दबंगाई, लुटमार, चोरीचपेटी, हर वक्त केंद्र के आगे मदत की मनीषा रखनेवाला राज्य इतनाही था... लेकीन लल्लनटाप बिहार की यात्रा करवा कर मेरे सोच को बदल रही है. मै महाराष्ट्र से हूँ. हम समंदर किनारे, कश्मीर, शिमला, हिमालय, दिल्ली, पंजाब, राजस्थान, गोवा, सप्त भगिनी, कोलकाता, और कन्याकुमारी तक सब जगहपर इधर उधर घुमनेमे क्या क्या है, वहा की खासियत क्या है यह ढुंडते है और जाते भी है. लेकीन गया के अलावा बिहार को घुमने की कोशीश शायदही देश मे कोई करता होगा. बिहार मे टुरिझम को बढावा देना चाहिए. लोगो को वहा तक खिंचकर लाना चाहिए. उतना यकीन देशभर के लोगो मे जागृत करना चाहिए. और यह जिम्मेदारी सरकार की ही है. केंद्र और राज्य दोनो की. वो कुछ कर नही रहे तो कम से कम वहा के लोग जो ग्रामीण मे है, पढे लिखे है, दुनियादारी की सोच रखते है उन्होने आगे आकर एग्रो टुरिझम की कल्पना को स्वयम ही करना चाहिए. शहर के लोगो को गाव की जरुरत मेहसूस कराओ. लोगो को सरकार की प्रतीक्षा करनी नही चाहिए. बिहार के नौजवान बहोत ही बुद्धीवादी है. उनकोही आगे आने की जरुरत है.

ऐसी इमेज बिहार के प्रति लालू, बॉलीवुड के फिल्में और मीडिया .... ने बनाई है, इंडिया के कुछ राज्य के लोगों का नजरिया बिहार के प्रति वैसा ही है जैसा भारत का इमेज यूरोप और अमेरिका में है जो कि एक दिमागी उपज है। बिहार का इतना गौरवशाली इतिहास रहा हैं कि जितना की किसी भी स्टेट का नहीं रहा हैं। हमारा मगध का साम्राज्य आज के आखंड भारत से भी बड़ा था ....... बौद्ध और जैन धर्म का उत्पति बिहार से ही हुआ है यहां तक कि सिंखो के अंतिम गुरु गोविंद सिंह का संबंध भी बिहार से ही था, जो सिंखों का अंतिम रूप दिया। बिहार ने आजादी में भी अहम भूमिका निभाया था, आजादी के बाद सबसे बड़ा आन्दोलन जेपी आंदोलन का मुख्य केंद्र बिहार ही था, जो इंद्रा गांधी की सरकार को हिला कर रख दिया था और देश में पहली बार emergency लगानी पड़ी थी और देश को पहला गैर कांग्रेसी PM बना..... बिहार आज रोजगार को छोड कर अधिकांश क्षेत्रों मे विकास किया आज हमारे गांव में 20 घंटो से ज्यादा electricity मिलती हैं , बिहार में रोड भी बहुत अच्छी बनी हुई, और आज बिहार के लगभग गांवों में हर घर नल योजना से पानी मिल रहा हैं ...... यहां की सरकारे अच्छी काम नहीं करती हैं लेकिन नीतीश, लालू से 100% अच्छा काम किया है हम ये कह सकते है.... बिहार का इमेज बदलने के लिए हम बिहारी युवा तैयार हैं और इसके लिए हमें मेहनत करना होगा.....

सासाराम में शेरशाह सूरी के मकबरे का गुम्बद, ताजमहल के गुम्बद से भी 18 फीट बड़ा है। 22 एकड़ क्षेत्रफल,चारों तरफ तालाब है। स्थानीय पत्थरों का उपयोग किया गया। यहीं से शेर शाह सूरी मार्ग का प्रारम्भ । कालिंजर का किला ,बांदा में है,जहां शेरशाह मारे गये थे। लल्लन टाप के ऐंकर और स्थानीय गाईड दोंनो जीवंत और विद्वान हैं तथा विकास के लिए प्रयासरत दिखाती पड़ते हैं। आप दोनों का आभार।

Tomb of Sher Shah soori is the symbol live n brotherhood among Hindus n Muslims, It is also the symbol of Will power an emperor who just ruled 5 yrs in India from 1539 to 1544 and built Grand Trunk Road leading Peshawar to Kolkata, Now called GT road 2500 km long road in just 4-5 yrs about 400 yrs back. Present India govt should take a lesson 4 our Ancestors in implementing the schemes in time. Sahsaram n Sher Shah tomb must be maintained with high dignity n also should be developed for Tourism, has a great potential.

Sher Shah Suri was a great administrator. He gave many things to us which are still in use now like Grand Trunk Road, starting currency in the form of Silver coins(Rupya) and copper coins (paisa), terms which r still used. He also revived the historical city of Patliputra as Patna which was in ruins since 7th century.
