You guys missed on a crucial trick. Always fill your IRCTC wallet with the amount of the ticket one day prior to booking the tickets. The maximum time is wasted in entering passenger info and payment information. Adding passenger info and money into the wallet will make it smooth like silk.

Please clarify the facts properly. Tatkal ticket booking to travel tomorrow doesn't necessarily start today. It depends on starting date of train from it's origin station. Even if I will travel from tomorrow but train starts today from it's origin station then tatkal booking will have to be done yesterday.

Reality : Agents ke liye tatkal booking aadha ghanta pehle khul jati hai. Isliye bahut baar tatkal start hote hi seats waiting mein dikhne lagti hai. Fact : Kitna bhi Passengers details pehle se save kiye raho, Wallet mein amount rakhe raho, IRCTC ki site par booking nai hone wali. Because it is full of ADs. Jisse server heavy rehte hain. Well IRCTC and Indian Railways are earning money by not refunding tatkal ticket money and from google ads. A win win from all sides. 😜

Static IP address of sim card is very crucial for tatkal ticket booking but in our mobile phones and wifi mostly we have dynamic IP address that's why mostly while lot of people Book tatkal we don't get confirmed tickets. Hence contact your wifi provider to give you the static ip

The worst thing about using the app is when it comes to completing the payment, and it comes back to irctc app, it doesn't come back properly always. sometimes it gets stuck somewhere. in most of the cases, you find the payment deducted and the ticket is not booked (says pending from bank's end). and the other thing, whenever you try to open the app, it always asks for update. Not sure what Irctc updating on it, still it is one of the bad app experiences though.

Correction tatkal can booked one day prior to scheduled departure of train from its origin station . Example if train starts from pune @3:30pm 9/5/23 And you wanna book ticket from nagpur to howrah But the train reaches Nagpur 10/5/23 4:00am then you have to book your tatkal ticket on 8/5/23 ! AC coaches 10am sharp and Sleeper 11 am sharp 10 But the train reaches nagpur the
