She is blissfully unaware that syllabus is reduced for those topics which were repeated topics and need to be deleted. For example electric motor was deleted from 10th as it is already there is 12th. This point was raised by A.P.J Abdul Kalam Sir around 15 years ago. Biggest problem is respect given by society to each profession. Because maximum respect and money is shared by doc., engg. and UPSC qualifiers they are projected as heroes. Right now you see another shift we see respect and money for some entrepreneur. Only solution is give respect to each profession and reduce pay check disparity between professional as much as possible. In Germany we don't see any difference in salary and respect given of an average engg. and avg. carpenter. In Japan they thank sweeper by bowing. Let's respect everyone and create an honorable society.

All these parents you talked to are the kind of people who put unnecessary pressure on their kids. Ask their kids whether he/she is under pressure or not and I'm quite sure he/she would answer yes. All this suicide thing is happening because of toxic parents and coaching institutes. The coaching institutes create massive hype for IITs and medical colleges for their own benifits and the parents and innocent and immature kids fall for it. There are also ivy league schools in the US which are way better and ahead than IITs but you would hardly find anyone being extremely depressed and committing suicide just because he/she failed to get into one of those colleges. This toxic educational environment in India needs to be brought to an end. It's high time now.

I am currently studying in IIT BHU Mechanical branch. I didnt go to Kota for prep and studied from my home town. Toughness and competition are the basic needs of exams like NEET and JEE as it is not possible otherwise to select 15000 candidates out of some 10 lakhs. But at the same, you should enjoy the journey of prep rather than taking tension. Becoz at the end process is important and destination is the secondary outcome. Even if u can not clear the exam, life is not over... there are many examples who have achieved extraordinary success from non-IIT/NIT colleges.👍
@shikhaverma1815 Жыл бұрын
True. If a student enjoys the journey then it's fine. Sometimes they tend to discover a subject of their liking and then want to pursue some other field like research. Scientists of ISRO achieving such great milestones are products of regional colleges and not at all from IITs and NIT. Reservation is also a great hindrance as these students then get into depression once they reach IIT. It's not easy to survive their also.

I think here LT and the reporter Sonal touched on a key point. The skipping of regular school and it's structured program. Instead, going full hog into 24x7 coaching. I attended regular school _and_ prepared for JEE etc. Class XI XII were valuable learning experiences in themselves. Inko coaching me jhonk diya jata hai. That is wrong. Because coaching is too narrowly and exclusively focused on achievements. Regular school me bhi "competition" ke pressures rehte hain, but I don't remember this machine-like effort, right from class XI or before. We had sports, drama, literary events, elocution, teen romance-shomance etc etc - and I think 2 baje chutti.

See the main reason for this is that schools is not able to provide proper platform for JEE preparation there are multiple reasons for same. 1. The teachers in schools can never be as qualified as talented as teachers in coaching just for reference a top pvt school in a city pays it senior school teacher around 60-70k meanwhile in coaching a iit fresher is paid 12-15 LPA for being a teacher. 2. In school they prepare you for boards which are subjective in nature meanwhile in JEE and NEET you need problem solving skills with good speed and accuracy for objective exams which is a different game altogether. Plus difficulty of these exams is completely different. 3. In schools they have to keep extra curricular activities like various competitions/annual function/sports day, assembly, sports/music/arts period also which reduces the time for education plus schools have to give holiday on all public holidays meanwhile coaching gives holiday only on diwali and holi. This helps them to increase lecture hours for preparation. 4. Schools can only give you mock tests and regular assessments according to board pattern which is again not useful for JEE/NEET. 5. School can never pay as much as coaching because they have to maintain infra for sports/music/art, pay to teachers of other subjects, organize regular activities and events plus in school they have limited class sizes so the teacher:student ratio is higher. 6. Every city doesn't has good schools and the schools which are good are again too expensive and have limited seats and are difficult to get to. Many top pvt schools in cities even take interview of parents and check their backgrounds before giving admissions. The fees of top pvt schools in big cities is even higher than coaching institutes. 7. This problem can only be solved if govt hires coaching level teacher in govt schools and pay them well along with focus on preparing them for JEE/NEET like the coaching do. 8. Coaching can't reduces fees because the teachers they keep need high salaries because they are talented and mostly iit graduates so they will have the desire to earn as much as their friends who graduated from iit/nit with them so that's why many of the experienced teachers are even drawing salaries like 60/70/90 lakhs and some even are drawing 1/1.5/2 crore salaries which are on par with industry. I have completed my 11th and 12th from regular school without coaching and did coaching for a year after that.

No point in doing that. My son studies in a reputed school where they have been provided with career counselling along with parents to explore different career options. My son is the class topper but because he was more interested in humanities than in science, he wanted to pursue humanities in ISC. For the last two years I am having to answer all the parents why I spoilt his future by allowing him to take humanities in spite of he being academically bright. This is the thought process of educated parents. Educated or uneducated, the idea is that if you are a bright student you go for science and appear for JEE and NEET, if not you take humanities. Commerce is for business class. First and foremost we need to bring out the parents from this typical mindset.

HOW TO STOP IT Rajasthan Govt 1. Fee in monthly or quarterly installment. A child can leave and doesn't feel trapped. 2. One park has been under development for years and now it is about to open. 3. Create sports facility in smaller parks. Mostly they are in depleted condition near Allen Sankalp Coaching Institute 1. Screening of students before admission. This means no admissions in Allen for those who don't meet criteria. 2. You earn so much. Please investment in sports facility 3. In short run loss of some revenue. But if Kota earns a bad name, parents will stop sending their children to Kota resulting in Bigger Loss Parents 1. Don't take loans or sell property for coaching 2. Use online such as PW, E Saral. If child has capability most probably he will succeed. Child 1. JEE or NEET are not the only pathway to success. 2. If you learn to study for more than 10 hrs a day, you are on road to success. 3. At least 20 minutes of physical exercise

True, I think she is unnecessarily debating . This is not balanced reporting. Parents too have their point. Schools do not prepare a student for a competitive exam. Hence students need coaching to bridge the gap. Also good coaching may not be available in every small town and city . So parents are forced to send their kids to Kota or other bigger cities with good coaching facility. Dummy schools are a good option for those students who are sincere with their studies and utilise their free time in preparing for a competitive exam. If you compare the the chances of a student from dummy school and regular school, certainly a student from dummy school has much better chance of clearing the exam provided he has utilised that time properly and invested it in his studies. Managing regular school and coaching is an unnecessary burden on students. Just condemning dummy schools and parents is unjustified.

Kyunki very few students are able to crack such exams in very first attempt. Secondly, competition exam coaching from initial phase like class 6 and 9 or even more early should stop. Coaching should be there only for DROPPERS. Seats in basic science should increase
@bhanupratapsinghchouhan5929 Жыл бұрын
Exactly that's the only solution. .....the regular hsc should be compulsory for all aspirants ,and to stop this blind coching bussiness

@@dandez3126 you didn't get my point. The point was simple after 12 th child becomes little mature to handle things but at age of 12 or 16 the pressure due to lack of seats, expenses creates fuss. So, no of attempts should not be limited. But in the drop year they will be in a calm state to prepare with sufficient time without unnecessary pressure of managing boards as well. Living a terrible 2 year life. In this way no of candidates will reduce hence the competition will too reduce. Eliminating all 11+12 coaching students from entire country. I think this makes sense. Therefore UPSC is after graduation and CA foundation exam even are after sometime gap

Kuch bahut hi important points hai isme.... Actually hota aisa hai ki baccha jab apne city ke school mein bahut accha perform karta hai, ya topper hota hai toh waha toh uska confidence bilkul upar hota hai joki acchi baat hai, but jab wahi baccha aise institutes mein jata hai coaching ke liye tab usko pata padta hai ki mein akela koi hero nahi ho actually, aur dusre bhi bright students hai mujhse compete karne ke liye. Institute wale pehle din hi samajh jate hai ki kaun bacche ka kya potential hai and phir wo us hisab se baccho pe focus karte hai as per their directives. Ab isme at the end jo baccha emotionally and pychologically strong hota hai, intelligent and consistent hota hai wo ultimately crack kar leta hai IIT-JEE or NEET and others may be not so lucky. Dusri baat aj bhi koi mane ya na mane hamare desh mein bahut hi narrow mindset hai wahi 100-200 saal purana ki hamara baccha ya toh engineer banega ya doctor ya IAS/IPS banega.. bas ho gaya. That's it! Iske aage koi sochta hi nahi and baacho ko bhi bachpan se hi aise condition kiya jata hai continuously... While in reality there are so many very good and equally satisfying and rewarding options out there. I think it's high time now that baccho ko bachpan se hi is tarah se encourage kare according to his/her capacity that he/she can make her career related choices very clearly and decisively at the right time and at the right moment.... Wo bacche ki mother bol rahi hai ki bacche itne hi samajhdar hote toh baat hi kya thi, wo toh dekha-dikhai mein decision le lete hai... But wo madam ko koi samjhaye ki baccho ko ye sab ultimately bade hi sikhate hai right from the very childhood. It all starts from home itself and then at school and everywhere else. This conditioning process... I think bas ye conditioning ko thoda sa alter kar ke bacche ka dimag sahi time pe gradually explorative banaya jaye toh naturally wo correct decisions le payega apne liye. And this has to be done without any kind of fear of social stigma or anything...

The fundamental question arises how many of selected candidates do engg jobs as a large no are working in management, civil services and other related field which clearly manifests the motivation these students had regarding so called engg jobs. It is only because of the exposure they get in IIT they come to know about different fields which parents like these denied them at younger age.

One should attend school till class 12th. Not just for studies. It will make you mentally prepared for the outside world. Schools never create throat cutting competition environment. Their only motive is to make the students pass with some good grades. Board exams can be scary for a students. From School teachers pov, it is just an ordinary exam that you have to pass as usual. But coaching teachers make it feel like life and death. Beware aware of money making coachings, they are just sucking your money and squeezing your child's mental health. Rather look for a tution where a teacher is only teaching less than 10 students. That would be more fruitful.

Ma'am, you are grilling parents so much about DUMMY School, but you forgot to ask question about DUMMY school in your interview with NV Sir. You should also ask government ministers / school principals what is their perspective why don't they teach syllabus of 11th 12th properly so that students can compete for JEE and NEET without any extra help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqOlZ5SIadOhZqM
