Tarikh Episode 68.
In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil Wath narrates the story of Hiroo Onoda. After Japan Surrender, second world war ended formally. However some of the Japanese holdout did not surrender due to several reasons, like either they were not aware of the concept of surrender or they were fighting in such remote areas that the news of ending of WWII didn’t reach to them. One such solider of Japanese Imperial Army was Hiroo Onoda. Who surrendered after 29 years, on this day (i.e. 09 March, 1974) the war got over.
