There were many Dynasties like Nanda, Mauryan, Chola, Gupta, Maratha, Chalukya's and many more, way more Older than Ahom Dynasty. I have heard from my Tribal Friends that, Mughal did not reached the entire Northeast but only some parts of Assam and were defeated 17 times by the Indigineous of the Soil. Tripura, Kachari, Dimasa were Independent. Rishi, Kashyap, Goswami are there in UP, BIHAR, HARYANA, MP, RAJASTHAN, DELHI, JHARKHAND and some States too. Also! Assamese are against CAA bcoz they give Priority 2 their Culture and not Religion. You can correct me if I am wrong brother.

In ancient bharata India Assam was known as Kamarupa . Guwahati which is right now the largest city in NE India was known as pragjotishpura in ancient times . And pragjotishpura is mentioned in the Mahabharata and Ramayana and kamrup is mentioned in the Mahabharata and Ramayana. Pragjotishpura played an important part in the Mahabharata war. narakasura bhagadatta muru were important kings of pragjotishpura. Another city is Assam called tezpur was known as sonitpura in ancient times. The kings of sonitpura are as follows starting from kashyapa rishi ( he was not a king but he organised the sonitpura society) followed by Bana then by hiranyakashyap and then by prahlad kashyap. All these kings and Maharishi saptarshi kashyapa were rishis and kings of sonitpura present in Mordern day Assam. The district in which these cities were present are still called by there ancient names like kamarupa district and sonitpura district. You have no idea how ancient Assam is .
