Oh man! I met Imtiaz Ali ji in Hindu College on 9th October 2023. You are such a nice person. We met accidently twice on that day. First you were coming out of lift and I was going into that. I said hello to you and you looked towards me and nodded back. Again while coming out of lawns I saw you and waved my hands and nodded to you. Just as a normal acquitance. Then you waved back and nodded. Everyone of my friend was surprised. I wanted to come back to you to take an autograph and a photograph. Though I would not do that. I want to meet you and talk with you about your art your movies. It would be better to work with you. I am not going to be just a fan boy who want to take a glimpse and an autograph. Thanks for your gesture. Never thought a person of such a stature will greet me in such a normal humble way. It was like I am seeing a person whom I meet daily. We nod to each other and just say hello and acknowledge each other.

What a guy! Me and my friend met him once when he was shooting Rockstar in HP and had an opportunity to have a conversation with him while we were waiting to meet Ranbir! Tamasha deserved a mention too. I was waiting for it so dearly. Nevertheless, it was a good two and a half hour. There was no methodical answer which he tried to give. He spoke what just came out of him. And Saurav Dwivedi.... he is gaining reputation for his mesmerising oratory skills, which is so good to see. So much to learn from him❤

Amazing interview. But, only thing that was missing was mention of Ranbir and Irshad kamil in much detail. I mean if not for Ranbir’s brilliance the character of Jordan would have been labelled as toxic (because it was such a layered character). It was Ranbir’s magic that injected a spiritual element into the character of Jordan and to large extent Ved. Nevertheless, a big thank you to team Lallantop.

What can I say about this man, imtiaz, I feel myself too short to coment but will definitely say that this man added a lot in my life, I watched the Rockstar in cinema and the day before watching and after watching was completely different..that day magic was happened and it's still continues. All the songs are my favourite and make gose bump all time. Then he made tamasha at time of tamasha I couldn't swallowed bcs I was not able to understand but later I saw again then I cried and said yes yes ..this is what he was trying to say ..and still I think a lot is in that to feel....you are born for us man ..a god for cinemas making ..just keep doing

Dear Lallantop, Please let Imtiaz know this if possible: When Harry Met Sejal is one of the most misunderstood films of our times. I too had felt it was quite underwhelming when I first saw it. But now that I am older and have lived a bit like Harry, I found the film more relevant and beautiful. We will never understand that film if we don't have that feeling of loss that comes from staying away from family, and roots for a long time.

Rockstar ka music album, mere liye 2010-2020 ke decade ka sabse best album hai. Pata nahi Rockstar ke baad musicians ko kya ho gaya wo magic phir se create hi nahi paye. Rockstar ke music ko is tarah define kar sakte hai, jaise movie me sadda haq gaane me Jordan ki kuch panktiya hai, "yaha barso pehle ek ghana jungle hua karta tha ab ek saaf suthra shahar ban gaya, jab se ye jungle kata uske baad ek parindo ka jhund Chala gaya phir kabhi nahi lauta". Rockstar ka music bhi mere liye un parindo ki jhund ki tarah hai jo phir kabhi nahi lauta, pata nahi Rahman Sahab ko bhi kya hua hai koi music nahi bana paye rockstar ke baad. Dr Irshad Kaamil jaise lyrics writer ka bhi sahi se istemaal nahi ho raha hai. Imtiaz bhai ne Rahman sahab aur dr irshad kamil ko full potential pe use kiya tha Rockstar me. Pata nahi wo ye magic kaise kar paye. Mere hisaab se Rockstar ke music ko as a lecture rakhna chahiye aspiring music directors ke liye. Sir the quality of questions takes the guest and in turn the viewer through a journey. The initiative is hopefully serving its purpose of making youth aware about various careers. But sir I think the issue arises when these goals are really unreachable to many in today's world. A career is only viable as far as the means are approachable. There should be awareness about the risks. I am just sharing my views.

I was hosting some award event in Delhi. It was a typical event with Mostly Dignatories from bureaucracy there. I had just quit radio and had once interviewed him prior to this event.
