I've always loved the E92, Currently have a tuned A6 C6 Sedan, but for some reason I just love this coupe. All though I couldn't live with only one coupe. Hope some day I can afford to have it as a weekend car. Is so damn nice.

Just letting you know the engine was warmed up before filming this. And sorry for the steam coming from the exhaust, it was a bit cold out. Dont lie, we see engine temp at the bottom of speedo

I finally got one of these a couple of weeks ago. Mine is an 08 in Le Mans blue with cream leather interior and it's the M Sport version😊 So far I've been very impressed with it, it's quick yet refined and is very comfortable on a long trip. It gets a lot of attention in my work car park.

@@juhm97 I've already fitted some gloss black grills, matt black M3 boot spoiler and upgraded to white led angel eyes. I also fitted some ///M logo door lights which look amazing at night when you open the doors. Not sure where I want to go next with it though, if I could find a set at a reasonable price maybe some lci rear lights but I'm not sure yet.

The cold engine loves the redline. Please drive it into warm state before reving it that high or your engine will great you with an high pay check

I'm currently looking for one of these but ideally I want a manual but here in the UK they're as rare as hen's teeth unfortunately. I was thinking about a 335i but I'm not sure if the turbos are that reliable though, the last thing I want is another £2k bill when I've just paid £8k for the car.

@@jeffderschwatzer4560 Here in the UK you can find a decent 330i or 335i for £8k or higher mileage cars cars for around £4.5-5k. The difference is that here the annual road tax can be very expensive. My 330i costs me £235 for the year whereas the 335i costs £550, that's more than twice the cost. If you add in the high fuel costs here it's not that cheap.

The turbo's are not that bad, just suffer from waste gate rattle, it's the high pressure fuel pump that gives in first.

To do this mod where did you disconnect the exhaust valve, the wire in the trunk or actually under the car? And is that actually all you did? It just seems so much louder than stock lol

I disconnected the pressure line under the car that goes into the muffler. It didn't make that much of a difference honestly. That's all I've done to the car and to my knowledge there is nothing else. The sound might be different on these older ones with the N52 compered to models with the N53 which are 9/2007-->

@@TheBigNate505 Actually my car has the more rare N52 with 272hp. The early 330i E92's have this engine and I think they changed it to a 272hp N53 in September 2007. My car is a May 2007 production model.

@@juhm97 I think when the coupe was introduced 2006 the 330 got 272 hp instead of 258 I believe. the lci models 09- got the n53 272 hp engine with direct injection instead of valvetronic. N53 is a little bit more torquey (about 5nm xd) but the DI causes injector problems I've heard. The n52 runs a little bit smoother through the register tho due to its limited valvetronic system.

Nathan S all e92 330i‘s have N52B30 engines until 09/2007 then comes the N53B30 engine which is supposed to be a bit quicker (but there’s no real difference) and a bit less fuel consumption. But it’s very unreliable due to often failing injectors, water pump, oil pump, NOX Sensor and some other things AND sound is waaay worse in the N53 engine

Hi! It's an N52 in full euro spec. It's basically in German spec since the car lived there for most of its life.

How come my n52 doesn't crackle at all while stock, and after muffler valve mod, I can't even hear a difference. It's also e92 272 n52

I have no idea 🤔 Soundwise there isn't a huge difference at first with the valve mod but I think with my car atleast it became a bit louder and cracklier over some time.

@@kissel7429 Well as you can see from the video, I'm giving it some revs. After that get off the throttle and then try feathering the throttle to get some excess fuel to make to crackle sound. I have noticed it works in 1st and 2nd gear while driving but it is pretty unnoticeable from inside the car in 2nd.

@@juhm97 Looking forwards to this weekend, i been driving it normally for 2 weeks no revving, drove normal TBH..lol Now i got some fun for this weekend, this put a smile on my face. Got some mods ordered, only superficial, front grill black etc and carly to change car settings etc. now looking at a performance exhaust and remap but i think thats all i need, would be happy with that performance.

@@juhm97 Well he said it was 20-30bhp on remap but its the response which is made instant thats the noticable point but at 350-400 is it worth it, maybe not as you say. Tbh i think you may be right, i am quite happy with what i have but i can imagine in 6months - 1year i will be thinking about more but lets get there first ..lol I made this mistake last car i had, spent 7k on a car in mods taking it up 120bhp and handling/breakin/engine, which was track orientated when sold only got what i paid for it as stock. I just got to be happy with what i have i think, got to get my head in that happy space :-)
