Carley you are so fortunate to experience beautiful views like this. What a great hike. I bet the footsteps and noise that morning were a little un-nerving. I've been in a few situations where the hair on the back of my neck stood up. It's all part of the great adventures we get to experience. Great job.

Ya, it was a little unnerving to wake up to. Luckily, it did sound quite hoofed and not very hungry. It seems that camping alone ends with an animal in camp more often than not. I reckon I'm just quieter when I'm alone, plus I probably sleep lighter.

Great hike Carley, very amazing scenery and great camera work. You're a beast in a good way, that was some serious trekking through bear country and you looked very confident and aware. I really love your passion for camp safety and spreading the knowledge about packing out your trash. I will adopt your policies on this subject, very good video. Thanks for taking me along and I'll go check out Nate's channel as well as Spreadshirt.

Thanks Kevin! Yup, garbage drives me bonkers, but if my rants can result in a little less trash in the woods, then I'm happy.

I have heard tale of a pooper quite like that on the AT but the view is nothing like yours! Amazing view,beautiful area, great camera work and -much love to the salamanders :-)

Thanks! I was a bit sad about missing the salamanders. They were a highlight of my last hike in the area.

Great hike. Thanks for bringing us along. Looks like lots of fun. If I brought peanut butter, I would eat to much if it.

Ya, I rarely eat peanut butter. I tend to eat too much. Plus it's messy. Those little packages are just about perfect though. Thanks for watching!

Great video! you're so knowledgable about the wildnerness! I would love to learn more about different plants or how to read trails for wildlife if you're willing to share the information! I will check out your other videos too!

Thank you. I try to do a video every week on something nature related - either an outdoor adventure or something plant or animal related.

Great landscape to hike through -- and you make a very fun guide for us. Glad you still have your "ranger mode," though I know it doesn't help your load or mood at the time. Hopefully it will sink in deeper with all your viewers, who can help spread the message.
@Nerding4Nature7 жыл бұрын
I hope it does. I doubt any of my viewers are litterbugs, but I reckon quite a few would (or already do) pack out some garbage from time to time.

It was interesting to hear about the First Nations people blazing the trails with the tree bending. It must be so cool to come across things like that along the trails.

awesome trail Carely, when i was looking at your map i was wondering how you getting back,or you going to make a loop but then you say,your ride was coming it all make sense lol you where telling about the bears,i presume you have pepperspray in your backpack? or trow with a pumpkin hahaha
@Nerding4Nature7 жыл бұрын
lol. It was too early in the year for pumpkins :D (It did this in summer), but ya, I have bear spray, although I did accidentally drop it on the first day and had to spend an hour going back down the hill to retrieve it. As for rides, my husband dropped me off on the way back from a road trip, and a friend picked me up at the end. It ends only a few miles from where I used to live, so it was easy to find a friend to drive me (and to let me stash my car at their place).
@sosteve91137 жыл бұрын
if you do the effort to get your spray back,it must be important to have it lol it looks like a great trail and one with a lot of history,something i like a lot great to have many good friends,who you can relay on i thought it was earlier in the year because the blue berries :-) greetings from Belgium

British Columbia....beautiful place...cool hike. Some people should not be in the outdoors...the ones that leave crap everywhere. 27 miles...that's a good hike...not too long...not too short.

Ya, I think its around my ideal length, though the longer ones can get you into some pretty amazing places.

The Last Grownup in the Woods my daughter is 7 and my son is 3. I could probably turn my daughter loose in the wild and she'd find a way. My son on the other hand, he's stuck in t-rex mode 65% of the time and has a soft heart that easily frightened by darkness and night noises ha.
