Aside from kingesman, none of the movies you mentioned made alot of money, he makes five movies a year ,always supporting, never has to carry the movies himself, so i don't think he should be in the conversation of biggest movie stars of all time, but can't take away the fact that he is a great actor and always entertaining.
@josephdonnelly75137 жыл бұрын
Salm Man pulp fiction is considered ( by critics and fans at least) to be on of the greatest movies of all time, and there are probably very successful movies in which he was the lead that I can't remember right now. I see where you are coming from though
@globalSentry7 жыл бұрын
I could mention 100's of lead actors whose movies i would not watch, however if i heard samuel l jackson was in one of them (regardless of the lead) i would watch the movie. Also why are you trying so hard to make it seem like actors with more lead roles are better than Samuel l Jackson. Am sorry but they are not that is why his movies were the highest grossing of all time for so many years in a row till harrison ford by passed him when he did the new star wars movie(the one where han solo dies). Also some of the movies in which he was lead and i mean some include: unbreakable, Amos & Andrew, Pulp fiction, Great white hype, time to Kill, the negotiator, shaft, S.W.A.T, coach carter, snakes on the plane, lakeview Terrace etc...etc. Just so you know he has also won golden globes for series and british equivalents of oscars. Finally many people want sam jackson in their movies because they know people love his acting style, and hence their movies will automatically sell. Actually to make my point more clear, tell me any single movie where Sam Jackson sucked. Unless you have not seen his work, there is none. Also the so called supporting roles are so big e.g Nic fury in avengers, Iron man, thor, captain america, star wars (second sickest Jedi in star wars universe *only jedi with purple lightsaber* with only master yoda at the top), sin city (octopus, the spirit). There is no other actor who could be given all these diverse roles and played them with such mastery.

@ephgm5 жыл бұрын
@@Ragnaroktheend and 9 was an OK movie if you don't care about lore and it making it so every previous film didn't matter. It was also an extremely twitchy ADHD action movie that feels like a giant recap "Previously, on Star Wars", and then they show 2 and a half hours of summarized scenes without slowing down to make room for a good story. It's a movie about "oooo, shiny!" instead of actually getting into a fully formed plot, and the plot that actually is mixed in there is like Swiss cheese. Smells like dirty socks and is full of holes. The only good part is that it basically retcons 8 as much as it can. Honestly, the entire sequel trilogy should be thrown out and remade properly. I don't want this cannon, and neither do most real fans.

The man truly is a living legend. I mean at this point he starred in too many famous movies. Some of them became famous *because* of him, some others not but he was in them, and never as a side character. I honestly can't think of another actor who had such an impact on our current generation (and a few ones before that). He's just *that* iconic. Sure you can say he pretty much plays himself in every role, but that ain't exactly true.

In what way is he an Ice Cube wannabe? I mean in what aspect is ice cube better than Samuel L. Jackson that he would want to be like him.
@Thelegend-wv4of7 жыл бұрын
housebrigade how? Ice cube was a rapper for N.W.A. And became an actor about 20 years ago and Samuel l. Jackson has been an actor longer. They are both great actors but none are trying to be like the other. Jackson has been doing movies since ice cube was a rapper. Why are you even comparing them? They are both different and Jackson is definitely not a wanna be or visa versa. I think your just putting them together because they are black. Them being black doesn't effect the way I look at them. They have complete different styles and one was a musician. I actually look at people for their different abilities, personality, and talent not a irrelevant thing such as Their race like close minded idiots do. They are both good in their own ways and they shouldn't be compared, also no one is a wannabe here.
